No, it's campaigners like u.

no u

Your relentless spineless shitposting would be more tolerable if you ever actually backed up anything you post with the slightest bit of substance. Like, at least Janus actually tries. I'd rather read a thousand "Houston handballed to McKenzie's feet" posts than one of yours.

How did we not challenge that? It didn't even hurt the guy and Motlop was only retaliating.

We Exist To Not ROck The Boat

the way the footy shows talked about this incident shows their agenda clear as day. they didn't even mention how Motlop was hit first, just the vanilla conversation around "should players be banned just for punching?!?!". they're never gonna acknowledge the Port player was hard done by. and this is no "woe is me" "always the victim" mentality it's literally how i see it presented to us

Would be funny if Danza was the person who sits behind Schulzy at AO.

Six is a pretty significant number "in the modern game"...any of you stats nerds want to go and find ANY player that has kicked 6 or more in the last decade?
I'd be surprised if it were more than say 2 dozen different players

Pretty sure Brisbane and St Kilda have both had players kick 6 this season

WHERE IS BUTCHER?

Robbie Gray on there? I see Sam Gray (Who kicked 6 vs Gold Coast)
lol at me forgetting our players. That's what happens when I go robot mode, and just type with out thinking.

But the overall point remains, that there has been a few more than a couple dozen to kick 6 over the past decade. :)

I hope last year's fringe player exodus, plus Impey, hasn't made our players internally a bit more comfortable with the concept of changing clubs.

For all the shit things the Crows have done with the massive amount of walkouts they've had, I don't necessarily mind that they've been harsh as other players thinking of leaving will certainly know they're walking out on bad terms and I think that's how it should be. Especially for important and required players.

We exist to make the community proud. Having said that I think we have handled those things far better than our neighbours - I dont think all the carry on from DisappointingTex and Taliaisacheat helps with player retention in any way.

Nah.

You create an environment where people want to stay, not because they feel pressured into it.

I know we've had our problems this year but saying that we should emulate the Crows player retention strategy is a bad call.

Theres a lot of people throwing the baby out with the bathwater at the moment. Our coaching sucks and on-field we've suffered but that doesnt mean we have to change what works.

I'm still annoyed we gave hartlett a 5 year deal off a huge year as a midfielder just for hartlett to decide he is a HBFer

I like him as a half back flanker. I don’t think Luke Hodge became any less valuable to the Hawks when he moved from the midfield to half back.
Hartlett took a season to work into the role but he was elite this year until he ****ed his knee.

his 2014 was also elite, I'm happy with his 2018 until his knee

everything inbetween wasn't up to his contract though

It was probably 2 years longer than we needed to considering that he was never a flight risk. 5 years+ should be reserved for players at risk of going home.

But then we have this Polec situation which kinda goes against what I just said.

Okay Okay - will change it to 10 dozen haha. Thanks - where are you grabbing the data from please?

why? we have a massive issue with an ageing list and a 4 year rebuild ahead, meaning motlop and watts are not part of the ride.

upload_2018-8-22_12-47-23.png

we have 2 too many players in the above bracket.
Lindsay is the obvious cull.
Westhoff isn't in question
Ryder can't play four quarters regularly enough but should be a handy back up to a younger model playing a fair bit of SANFL
Robbie does his job but expect the wheels to wobble in 2019
that leaves.............trade boak like the hawks did to their captain

upload_2018-8-22_12-51-13.png

I'd normally do a cut off at 27 but our 26yo's demonstrate we lack quality coming through
Rocky underperformed in 2018 but should be playing boak's role, not alongside him
Ebert is our new Kane Cornes, frustrating disposal but works hard
Broadie may have already played his last game but contracted
Hartlett will take a while to rediscover his mojo
Dixon hopefully returns to the FF position rather than the hybrid ruck destroying his kicking
Jonas is our best defender
motlop has trade value but hardly a big improvement on young
watts has trade value but has less potential than Marshall and less ability as Westhoff who should go to CHF
Pittard has trade value
Trengove is delist
SGray works hard and offers more than boak, which says more about Boak than SGray
McKenzie is a delist

In short boak, watts, motlop and pittard should be on the table
Lindsay, trengove, mckenzie are on the chopping block

In our "youth" brigade toumpass, neade, amon, frampton and snelling will all have futures at port reviewed
Trading out Polec will hurt but at least it begins the refresh

From page 88 discussion;

Mark Williams- 4 playing premierships, 1 coached premiership.

Stephen Williams - 6 playing premierships, 3 coached premierships.

Fos Williams - 6 playing premierships, 9 coached premierships.

Consolidated - 16 playing premierships, 13 coached premierships.

Wow.
Consolidated means you eliminate the double entries ;)

Of the 24 flags the club has won after WW II a Williams has played in 14 of them and been just in the coaching box in another 7. Only 1959, 1977 and 1981 is missing a Williams.
Now that's a cool and crazy fact...
You got me there!

Fos was only 51 when he finished up at the PAFC.

Do you know if Fos ever served on the board later in life?

Here you go simmo_bc Jenny Williams put it this way in her tweet replying to Patrick Keane's shout out to Choco yesterday on his 60th birthday.
