I saw a pic of Houston at the Gym with some Collingwood players online yesterday, looking a little out of shape compared to his teammates i must say. Probably just his body shape and hopefully not an indication of the overall fitness of our players compared to theirs.
I did chuckle that he has been at Collingwood all of 5 minutes and already posing for photos sans shirt, i can't recall ever seeing him with his rig out at port over his 10 years there. Seems to be fitting into their environment pretty well.

Saw this pop up on Facebook as well. First thought was the same that he looks significantly less fit than the other 3 pies players.
Could just be his usual shape however and hopefully not an indication of how far behind our fitness is as a club.

I immediately thought are both games at Optus, or is there a tourism component to it, for the WA government to get involved. From Ryan Daniels' full tweet - its 1 at Optus, 1 at Bunbury. Should have gone to Margret River for a real Tourism component, but I guess a 2 hour drive is better than 3 hr drive for Freo fans from the heartland. I assume Freo will get the Bunbury option, or maybe they might rotate it.

play two home games a year in WA, for the next three seasons. The WA state government, the AFL and North Melbourne are set to sign an agreement the Roos will sell two home games to WA - delivering financial relief for them - and fixture relief for @WestCoastEagles and @freodockers
Here's how it'll work: North Melbourne will travel to WA in the middle of next season, stay for two weeks, and play two games.
They'll 'host' West Coast and Fremantle, with one game to be played at Optus Stadium, the other set to be in WA's South-West, with Bunbury's Hands Oval the likely destination.
That's the key to this deal - as it ties in with WA tourism, promoting direct flights from Melbourne to Busselton - with Kangaroos fans likely to make the trip west. [Busselton is about mid point between Bunbury and Margret River. Got no idea how big the airport is, but its a town of 40k and region is 75k which was Sunshine Coast's population in late 70's.]
The game at Optus will see them earn North around 1.2 million dollars - the state government contribution for the South-West game will take North's purse over the $2 million mark. The deal will be signed for three seasons. Locking in six games, and more than $6 million for North. It will give the Eagles and Dockers an extra game in their home state - one less week of travel.

Busselton feels like a much better place for the game than Bunbury. Firstly because that's where the direct flights from Melbourne are going but also because it's much more of a hub for south west tourism whereas Bunbury really isn't part of that scene at all.

Only because they'd long been saying they should get extra home games due to all the travel they have to do every year - it sounds like they've been heard finally.
They had 10 targets in Victoria they could’ve taken aim at ahead of the 2 SA teams.

North are such a nothing club imagine being the travelling wilburys for cash and only having 7 home games in your own state a season. God damn the lack of foresight & need to cull the VFL minnows when the game went national will make this league a laughing stock forever.
