Lol its ok, he will miss out on the emergencies list for Dion Prestia on team of the decade. It wouldn't matter if JHF went full Gaj Dangerdusty they just don't talk about players in SA with the same interest or reverence over the border, the one time I had respect for Dangerfield was when he moved to Geelong and was introduced on some radio segment as being the best player in South Australia for the last umpteen years & he said something along the lines of "No I'm not Robbie Gray". The vast majority of victorians think Robbie Gray was nothing more than a handy forward pocket, being a Victorian didn't even change the perception.
The Human Meatball!!Lol its ok, he will miss out on the emergencies list for Dion Prestia on team of the decade.

I just love how he is still considered "polarizing"....
Just because he requested a trade away from a Melbourne club, a couple years ago now, like so many others do every year. But nah, let's continue to single him out. The guy literally is a superstar player who does nothing at all to warrant that tag.
Could actually happen if Bergman goes up a level.I reckon he might make history and be the first player ever to win two Brownlow medals in the same year this year.
It's just the usual disrespect for our club & anything associated with it. That's on our leadership at PA who have enabled this. That's why they all need to go.I just love how he is still considered "polarizing"....

Another predicting a breakout year for a player who is already top tier:
The reality is, JHF is already our best clearance player by averages. No mean feat when you are 20yo and you are competing for that title with a Brownlow medalist midfielder and two other All-Australian midfielders.
He need not play forward this year as we have recruited goal kickers. There is no longer any fitness or young body reason to hold him back- he should now go from 54% CBAs to 66% CBAs. The attention he will get will only make Butters more dangerous.
The only issue is how will he handle the number 1 tagger? From a team point of view it won't matter- Butters will excel. But from a personal point of view- he seems to have the tools and tricks to handle that.
Rotating JHF and SPP sounds like more fun.Again as mentioned in alternative thread, I would still play partial game time as our deepest forward, rotate he and Rozee between Midfield and Deepest Forward.
In a similar way Martin was managed, these two, while both good midfielders and JHF statistically ’Great’ their threat as Forwards create a matchup nightmare. In a three headed hydra two of Rozee/Butters/JHF should be on the ball for 78-80% of the match.

Let the tagger deal with getting bruised themselves half the time.
Difference with Hornet being tagged VS Butters is, that Hornet has a bit more strength and height over Butters plus his burst too. Reason i state that is because it's clear the umpires look after the Hornet a bit more than others in regards to holding so opposition players that tag and definitely hold will be pinged more against Hornet than Butters. E.g. look at Neale who gets frees a lot. If Hornet uses that whilst being tagged and umpires do their job thoroughly then he'll be given the free(s) as deserved. Specifically the Carlton player or even the Saints one last year who tagged Butters and continuously kept holding him. A good tagger is a great addition to any side but impirneedto start keeping in check the blatantly obvious ones who are holding all the time.
JHF has the ability to hit the contest at pace and gather cleanly. While Butters takes the ball on the move, he isn’t hitting the pill at 100% like JHF does. Once player is on the move players look to hold and scrap to defend. The quicker the player is moving the more likely the jumper is stretched, however the more likely the ball player fumbles.Difference with Hornet being tagged VS Butters is, that Hornet has a bit more strength and height over Butters plus his burst too. Not off a knee, SPP should have developed into a Wines and Drew trio of Smash Brothers. However his energy at Half Forward was sorely missed last year.Rotating JHF and SPP sounds like more fun.

I just want to see him bash taggers, but your response is much more sensible. Not off a knee, SPP should have developed into a Wines and Drew trio of Smash Brothers. However his energy at Half Forward was sorely missed last year.
In the same vein as Bergman, not everyone needs to become a Modfielder, Sam’s value as a small forward is instrumental to our team and culture. HOWEVER would love another string to the bow. Sinn could also possibly roll through there, especially is Dyl Williams is ‘fit’ and Logan Evans, Lachie Jones and Miles Bergman can assist Farrell as the ‘small’ defenders.
Add Mead, Jackson, Lorenz, Moraes to Wines, Atkins and Boak, JHF, Rozee, Butters, Drew with SPP, Bergman, Burgoyne and Sinn, this is plenty of Midfield options and different looks for 2025 and well beyond.
