Literally inches from spilling.
Practically speaking our water storage both potable and stock are all full.

Hows your area looking?
Wet. My 140,000l of tanks are full, and even my crap dam of the two has overflowed. At least the extra fencing I had to put in to stop the ponies foundering was easy to put in.

Well, the other half went to water the garden today as she discovered that the water tank is close to empty. After all that rain!

I don't think it has a leak but it is possible that we had a blocked downpipe. The house is two storey so I'm not getting up on the roof to clean the spouting. Ill need to get somebody in to do that.

But as rain is predicted I managed to disconnect the downpipe and poke a hose up it from below. As far as I can tell it is flowing ok now.

Then, she spotted a weed in the guttering on the other side of the house. This was right in the downpipe and bloody hard to get clear as I couldn't disconnect as much of the downpipe on that side. I managed to break up the roots and flush a fair bit of water down using a hose jig I made. But I do need to get somebody in with a tall ladder and no fear of heights.

And not someone like archereleven who's praying for another Jimmy Hird to come along.

Serious one, why attack a fecking crossing guard?

A school crossing guard has spoken out about the terrifying moment he was forced to run for help when he was attacked by an angry driver.

Shocking dashcam footage captured the confrontation between the driver and Keith Puspa near Spearwood Primary School last Thursday.

The 74-year-old told 7NEWS he doesn’t know why he was targeted, but it’s left him too shaken to return to a job he loves.

The driver then gets out of the car and appears to push the 74-year-old as he runs for help towards the good Samaritan who stopped to assist.

“It’s alright... it’s recorded... it’s recorded,” the Good Samaritan says.

Mr Puspa can then be heard saying “call the police.”

He says he clocked the Mitsubishi Triton only minutes earlier, indicating for him to slow down.

“I didn’t even talk, and I just went like that (moved my arm down) to drop, like I do most of them,” Mr Puspa said.

“I’ve never seen him before.”

The following day the 74-year-old said he was abused by two men on motorbikes who came through the crossing and started screaming threats at him.

“(They said) ‘we’re going to get you’,” he said.

The two incidents have left Mr Puspa so scared, he can no long return to work.

Cockburn Police are understood to be investigating the incident.

Make a big hook on end of a light pole and scoop between the clips. Say alluminium tubing, you cant get your hands between the guttering and the roof anyway .
That's exactly what I did. One using a big hook and another with a hook and I zipclipped the hose to it.

It's about an 80% solution.

Problem is, my ladder is too short to reach as far as the gutters.

Jeez kosh. Don't show me that. I used to have one and I put it in hard waste as we didn't need it.

Then we moved house.

Everything thats old is new again. Anyway i think the hojiman did a crash course in cleaning gutters recently.

I recall he was looking into gutter guards but they are crap.
Hojuman - you can come to my place to clear my gutters. Bring a ladder.

We had a plumber replace downpipes on the garage a couple of months ago to a larger size.

They flow nicely.

I have some gutter guard as the neighbours have pittosporum trees but only on that part of the garage.

The plumber advised that the best gutter guard is no gutter guard.

Hojuman still rues his idea of over 60's climbing ladders. I heeded the ambo's advice and Mrs.H's if l'm even caught looking at a roof gutter.
