Anyone think the happenings in the Hawthorn assistant coaching ranks will cause issues for them in September?

Brendan Bolton has just left to join the brown paper baggers, which is a huge blow just 2 weeks from finals. And that's on top of the tragedy of Brett Ratten's son passing away in an MVA just last week....

Be interested to see if it has any bearing on the players, & also structures & game plans, over the coming weeks
It may cause issues but they had plenty of those last year and waltzed to another flag. They'll be too good again this year IMO.

Just looking at how it stands now, especially with fyfe out and the coaching dramas at hawthorn West coast ate looking pretty good

I just read an interesting article in the HS where the Collingwood players elected to train at night! It got me thinking that WHY aren't more of the clubs training at night? It makes sense with amount of night or Edihad games we play under lights. Players spend all the junior lives being programmed to train in the late afternoon and night and as an adult I always felt like I trained better over that time period.

It makes sense for young men, let them have a sleep in and come into the club in the afternoon to complete their training requirements, similiarly to twilight or night games! I dont think our club does it and you would have to wonder why in this era where any gains are worth gold...perhaps clubs and coaches like to function during husiness hours and not footballing hours?

With the amount of debt we're in as a club, it's probably because we can't afford a bag of yellow footballs & to run the light towers for 4 or so hours....

That and it would be of little benefit for our 3 odd night games a year. Really we should train at 4.40

I think it's time to get of Essendon's back and bring them back into the football community. The Hird era is over and I'm sick of hearing about an old, old scandal. Did they deserve what they copped, probably but is there ever be a time when it will stop?

Are you Kidding, hope they are hearing about it in 20years and they never recover from it

How would you feel if it was the saints? Would you be happy to cop 20 years?
Its not the Saints, The club has a history of salary cap cheating and now drugs. I really hope it wrecks the club for years with what they did to those kids, they deserve everything they get
