Yep had a chuckle when I read that one. Certainly last year Brodie was put up for trade by the club and his manager shopped him around for 0.00% interest. He probably asked to be traded the last 2 years but there were no takers.

I wish I was .
But I’d seen no mention of Simpson to hbf (stand to be corrected) before reading about the possibility on here .
Think Chris25 may have been the first and then it was proceeded by few more posters on here but later, once it was apparent coops was struggling to get involved
Oh and please don’t say Duffield mentioned it first because again , when he brought it up on radio was AFTER the idea was floated on here .
In fact pretty sure people mentioned HE may have got the idea from here.
Regardless whether or not the move was imitated by freo coaches from here (now remember before you scoff , young’s move to the midfield was only initiated by Joel Corey and was no where in jlos agenda at the time)
We can agree longmanure isn’t some revolutionary strategist for doing so as it’s proved the average mug punter on here was already calling for it long before it actually happened
Sorry pops , auto correct'longmanure' - christ son I don't like the bloke either but keep that trash talk locked into Bay 13. It don't belong here.

Worner over Erasmus proves we’re tanking.Honestly thought Erasmus showed skill more last week than I’ve seen from Worner’s whole career. Good to know you’re watching a different game to the rest of us.
Think Worner is just a guy who has a great attitude and gets to the right defensive spots. In terms of skill though almost every player on list is better outside of perhaps Reidy and right now the youngsters who haven’t debuted yet.
Investing pick 10 to draft Erasmus but refusing to invest in developing the guy is poor management. Kid should have 50 games under his belt and be a solid contributor. Instead he'll leave at years end for a 4th rounder and most likely make us look stupid in the process when he becomes a solid player at another club.
I am still shocked WC don’t want him. They have no clearance mids beside Yeo plus a huge hole in their list but instead spend draft Capital on role players.Yep had a chuckle when I read that one. My point was the stats don't tell the story? Watching football tells the story and Erasmus does nothing with his disposals.cool. just checked the stat sheets. quite hard for me to determine meaning in them as he's come on as sub in 10 of his 25 games. Only played R2 and R3 this year. R2 got almost identical stats to Murphy Reid and was above Banfield. R3 18 disposals and above Banfield and Worner.
a maths genius such as yourself will need to explain to me why the stats show Ras should be left out over BB or Worner![]()

You know he's only 31 right?Neither does Worner or a 34 year old omera
Lobster for dinner, anyone?I hope it leads to some extra motivation for our forwards to kick a bag on him.
Banfield was good against WC. JOM in our bests vs Geelong and Sydney. I don’t have a problem with that.Pretty much this
While Banfield Worner and a very old OMeara are getting games who.are clearly no better.
Erasmus given a proper go could go past them
It's bizarre because this was touted as a strength pre-draft and presumably why we took him so high. Even the overhead marking, another supposed strength, has been curiously absent. It also doesn't help that in 4 preseasons he's barely added any muscle to his frame. All that said I still would've played him this week as I think we're a midfield rotation short. We will probably see Bolton get more time in the middle with Murph/Fred/Wombat getting the lion's share of small fwd duty.He hasn’t shown any ability up forward. Made a couple of good tackles. That is it. He has had some snaps at goal that never looked likely. He really needs to improve his forward craft if he wants a more regular game. Compare to MJohnson who ran through the lines to kick a nice goal. I’ve not seen anything like that from Ras.
You forgot Switta, he will come in for Dudley before Walters. When Walters is fit too, I think we need to only bring him in if we have another injury or if we can move Reid around. Reid needs to play unless sore.Banfield was good against WC. JOM in our bests vs Geelong and Sydney. I don’t have a problem with that.
You’d think that with Wagner coming back Worner would be first out the door.
That may well leave Erasmus as the sub.
The fringe players:
From the Sydney game you can see why Isiah Dudley was brought in we needed a forward who can pressure but also has forward craft. So he wasn’t going to get dropped. Draper played well on Liam Ryan and I felt he did a reasonable job as sub and playing on Papley. Chapman from Sub in Geelong to playing quite well ve Sydney and very well against WCE.
Worner dropped after the Geelong debacle. Then brought in to replace Wagner. Defensively reasonable. Some cat-9 foot skill errors. Erasmus been on the bench a lot and definitely in that fringe group. Not selected for round 1.
So he would have been considered for Sub.
If it was me I would have dropped Worner, kept Erasmus and played Banfield as Sub.
They have chosen to keep Worner (likely sub), keep Banfield and drop Erasmus.
Whilst I don’t like it, I’m not going into melt down territory.
Banfield, Erasmus, Worner, Aish, Dudley, Voss, Simpson are a group of players that will get opportunity but are more fringe at the moment.
Banfield > Young
Dudley > Walters
Voss > Darcy
Worner is Sub
Erasmus, Fyfe, Aish waiting for their opportunity

Reminds me of Ross playing Brayshaw and Cerra 4 years straight regardless of form...they offered little in 2018-19 and only started hitting their straps 4 years in.Investing pick 10 to draft Erasmus but refusing to invest in developing the guy is poor management. Kid should have 50 games under his belt and be a solid contributor. We have had a lot more talent to fit in, in recent years.Reminds me of Ross playing Brayshaw and Cerra 4 years straight regardless of form...they offered little in 2018-19 and only started hitting their straps 4 years in.
Now look at Andy.
I just hope not many whinge like a hindsight hero when he leaves and turns into a decent player. Meek 2.0 but we have a few more spots we could probably have squeezed him into in my opinion. We have had a lot more talent to fit in, in recent years.
Bray and Cez were during the start of a rebuild, Erasmus came when we were supposed to be winning and making finals, the disappointing part is that we have failed in doing that.
