You lot are gonna look like a bunch of silly willies when Worner tags Liberatore out of the game and ends up with 30 disposals and 2 goals to win us the game.

Then I turned off the xbox..More chance of Alex Pearce kicking 5 goals.

Our record in close games since last year is 1-1-8. In almost all of those losses we were ahead or within a goal at some point in the last quarter.

If today goes a similar way (big if), the season will be close to being shot and our poor record in tight games will be touching historically bad levels. I’d be of the view that we’re not turning it around without some change. It wouldn’t just be the outcome of a single game, but rather continuation of a pretty clear trend.

I’m hoping JLo has learnt from the Sydney loss (and the run of close losses to end 2024) and has the ability to adapt and make changes.
Yes the poor record in close games is a problem, and something I hope the club is working on 0both tactically and mentally.
I personally find it hard to be able to seperate what part is a poor plan for that phase of the game and what is poor awareness, ability to execute and/or fitness.

For example we have seemed to be managing injuries overall a little better even with some frustrations, but does that mean we've been pushing the guys a little less?

My point was more one more data sample shouldn't swing a decision wildly, and I hope the club is looking at all the data available to them and not just the outcome.
I think we're basically in agreeance on all the important areas though - there is a problem and we need to do better.
