Expect the Crows to be half an hour behind when we play North tomorrow. A slow start after a long break is going to be expected.
We were when we played them in Tassie in 2017. 10 goals down...

What's your point? Richmond had three injuries last week yet they made six changes
That 1st year player Jack Ross is a man child built like a brick outhouse, and if you care to go back to last year's draft thread I rated him very highly and clearly stated he was one of a few draftees with an AFL ready body back then.

But they brought him in off the back of one VFL game! As they did with four other not obviously best 22 players. One guy didn't even play yet that was enough for selection

In fact Bachar Houli was going to be an inclusion, he was a late out and Richmond STILL made six changes

Could you imagine us selecting a 3 game player who didn't play SANFL the previous week as an unforced change? It would never happen at the Crows.

Yeah all those blokes in the SANFL pushing for a spot based on SANFL form.

And yet, we heard all summer how well our list was looking, and how good our depth was.

Dropping a shit performing AFL player is the priority; give the best performing SANFL player the opportunity, but not continuing to select underperformers is the main thing.

One very good VFL game...Midfielder - Cotchin replacement.

Unlike you I don't go around "imagining" or worrying about what other mobs are doing.

Well what would the squad be thinking? Statements like this that are blatantly bullshit help you to lose the players.
It's almost as if Don didn't believe what he said.

If that's the case he probably knows another bad result and he's done.

I'm pretty sure a lot of senior/great players are on fixed contracts, no match payments, but bonuses for B&F performance.

Is the bonus still a part of the salary cap I presume?

So if a player say is on $500k a year thats the max. he gets, he doesnt earn more than that if he is a B&F ?

I would think bonus is on top of annual salary.

B&F result would be easy to calculate and include in the cap, I'd think? Set aside $500k (for example); B&F might get $200k, second $150k, third $100k, fourth $50k.

I'm not sure - but if you know the money has to be spent, you can accommodate it in the salary cap; regardless of who it gets paid to.

Jack Hayes is going to kick 15 tomorrow then.
Our SANFL team winning doesn't matter though.

Gibbs needs his rocket and Gallucci and Greenwood need maximum game time

Part of the problem is Pyke is so big on his system he's always reluctant to bring inexperience in to take heavy role in it. It's why Doods gets stuck in the SANFL for two years and it's why guys like Jones and Gooch get thrown into roles as small forwards, rather than taking bigger minutes in the midfield. Plus his love of consistency hits as well.

So a guy like Jones might get in now, but his role is limited. In Pyke's mind he probably can't play McHenry or Scholl or others because he can't put multiple players into smaller roles.

I don't know why you think Pyke is getting sacked. As bad as we played in the GF, he broke our prelim hoodoo. Safe as houses until he's out of contract.

Please note this is not an endorsement of Pyke.

Lol get some good examples please.
No shit. One of those mentioned had enough talent but didn't have the work ethic for AFL (Grigg) and the other was shown to be badly out of depth when exposed to the real thing (Wilson).

Hardwick won a flag 18 months ago. He can do whatever he wants.
Before he’d won one he played a kid in his 5th game and put him on our best player in a GF.

Proceeded to pull our pants down by cutting Sloane out of the game and kicked 3 himself.

We would never take that kind of risk
