Finlayson was the best positional fit. But if we set any standards he couldn’t be picked. Lord injury cloud. So only two options were Soldo or Dante. Dante has had the better pre season and the better attitude.

I'd go in a tall down next week over playing Soldo again. And that's me saying this, the guy who's been bitching about Hinkley not picking talks for the last 12 years. Soldo is that bad. And he doesn't even want to be here.

Still bemuses me that Visentini hasnt even played 10 games at AFL level. Seems to be Sam Hayes pigeonholed as a sole ruck behind Sweet and Soldo. We could really do with a tall dude with some vigour in the forward line. Wouldnt have to mark just compete in the air. Still the only player ive seen that made the oppo coach rage quit on their own ruckman in a first quarter

Watch the absolute uproar if dante leaves for more opportunities at the end of the year. For as much as Sweet is a battler there has been quite a few times he wins the tap that goes down the throat of the oppo mids. Is it his ruckwork or the coaches probably both

On a serious note, does anyone know when our first pre-season hit out for 2026 will be? Is there a set date for it? Could be the 14th Feb 2026 when we have the intra-club match?

I am not even that excited about 2026, having Josh Carr take over does not excite me one bit. We need a whole new set of eyes to sort this mess out.

Evans has a future but definitely needs to be dropped, he needs to understand he is not an automatic selection and that performance was not up to it. Be great if we could somehow give Cochrane a full game to see what he can do

Evans slide in form went under the radar initially, but there’s increasing examples each game of some poor play intermixed with better stuff. He’s become more unreliable which is a worry. Happens so often where after a strong 15-20 games, players start to stray from the attention to detail in their performances that they had initially.

I had mentioned his last month or so last year was patchy and it’s got worse this year.

Really needs to get that confidence back asap

I’d much rather play Walsh than Finlayson and Dante than Adolfo.

We really aren’t losing much even if they play like crap, the other guys would have too.
