Toast #BringBackTheBars - Our Heritage, Our History, Our Right! Part 1

Assuming there were no obstacles, would you prefer the PB/Pylon guernsey to be our home colours?

We should immediately change our jumpers and drop the teal (not that I have a problem with it) but if we aren’t running out in a black and white striped jumper Collingwood don’t have a leg to stand on.

Home - Black and dark grey Prison Bars

Away - White and very light grey prison bars.
I think we need to play up the silver part of our colours.....then work with a paint supplier sponsor to come up with a colour named Port Adelaide FC Silver so close to white as to be almost indistinguishable from white.

It's not white.....it's Port Adelaide Silver.

What a piece of shit Gil is.

Statement reads like it was either written by or sent to Collingwood for approval (the language changes slightly across the statement like it was written by more than one person).

I know most clubs and supporters wouldn't give two tossbags but this really is an opportunity to work for change to how the AFL views it's clubs particularilly those not in Melbourne.

Stand up to the bully.

Short of a tragic event or the 200th anniversary they ain't going to come to the party so the next step might be ours.

What are the options?. I understand the reluctance re the four points but I don't think that will actually happen. The threat from us to play anyway and the media generated will see to that and the ratings would be huuuuuge.

Options for us as supporters?. T shirts? Booo for the first minute of each quarter?. Everybody sings NTUA but turns their back?

We need to act while this is in the news cycle. Not let them kick the can along to another no.

This isn't going away we are not going away.

So in the AFL's official response they defer to Collingwood being the party that needs to agree for us to wear the PB's. Ludicrous that a governing body cedes to a single clubs demands time and time again. ******* amateur hour.
So if it is between Port and Collingwood then why the **** would the AFL impose a penalty on us for wearing it?

Its either an AFL issue or it's not.

Let Collingwood take us to court.

The club should release another statement saying we won’t back down and include a picture of the whole playing group wearing the bars.
Except we have backed down, kochie said as much this morning unfortunately. As supporters we can't back down though we need to push and push and push

Co-written by Eddie.

The black and white stripes line is a dead giveaway. I have never heard a Port person or a neutral refer to it that way.

My God the level of disingenuous discussion around this issue is ****ed the only question that needs to be asked at any stage about a teams home jumper is if the opposition's clashes if the ****ing opposition wears a different strip end of discussion. I have asked repeatedly this question how does this impact Collingwood us wearing our jumper at home when we are not playing them all I get back is twaddle about the integrity of the league.
