AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Theyll be talking all things crows I fearI hope the the Phillips clan give it a whack tonight on the front bar. Let’s not let this go away.
I’m so fired up.
We need to be saying again and again and again that Collingwood should have zero say in this. It is a discussion between the AFL and Port Adelaide with zero impact on Collingwood.
If you read thread on the topic you will see that that idea has already been floated a couple of days ago.Hey someone from the freo board came up with a good idea.
You should wear the bars on grand final day. Whats the afl gonna do about it.
There's a fair bit of that to it, but AFL know this isn't going to go away - Brisbane are allowed to wear a Fitzroy jumper, the Eagles pull out their old flag jumper for 25, 30 etc year anniversaries, as well as other clubs, get to wear jumpers for special occasions - so they know there has to be some solution. That last statement saying they’ll continue to work with us and Collingwood is 100% just to placate us, the fans.

There have been so many bloody themed rounds over the years the AFL should invent a new one - Premiership Anniversary round.
Clubs in that round chose which jumper they won a premiership in from whenever they started in what ever competition, so clubs can wear a jumper they wore to win a flag be it in WAFL, SANFL, VFL, VFA, AFL or ammos.
That way it solves a lot of issues. And there is no marketing restrictions on production of the jumper.
And unlike St Kilda who only have 1 jumper to wear, we have 37.
We asked to wear in SHOWDOWNS! That is the easiest of all the request we could have made for the league, and yet they've managed to blow it!There's a fair bit of that to it, but AFL know this isn't going to go away - Brisbane are allowed to wear a Fitzroy jumper, the Eagles pull out their old flag jumper for 25, 30 etc year anniversaries, as well as other clubs, get to wear jumpers for special occasions - so they know there has to be some solution.

Geelong would. Bobby Quinn's older brother Tommy won the flag for Port in 1928, went to Geelong after 1930 season ended, won flags in 1936 and 37 with Geelong, coached them after WWII and made their team of the century. Play in jumpers from 1936 - both clubs won a flag that year - for the Quinn Cup.I wonder if we gathered support from other big traditional clubs to wear it on ANZAC day or something.
Does anyone even get to see the showdown?Id also love somebody to mock a banner for the Showdown with Gil as a Marionette with Maguire above him as the Puppet Master.
New afl logo with EFL perhapsId also love somebody to mock a banner for the Showdown with Gil as a Marionette with Maguire above him as the Puppet Master.
I don't think any other clubs really care about it, it's only collingwood who are kicking up a fuss and it's only collingwood that the afl are listening to.I wonder if we gathered support from other big traditional clubs to wear it on ANZAC day or something.
You try and broker a deal so everyone saves a bit of face and looks like everybody has won something. The AFL became custodian of the game in 1993 taking over from the Australian National Football Council. A Premiership Anniversary round, it can say the decision is made with its custodian of the game hat on.We asked to wear in SHOWDOWNS! That is the easiest of all the request we could have made for the league, and yet they've managed to blow it!
Get the cheer squad to make the banner with prison bars every week
