I was sold by his interview right after the game, he kinda looked a bit bewildered but very happy-"Oh, I'm actually not a forward dud, but Mathew Scarlett in disguise' kinda thing, 2 weeks training in the backs as well, and he actually was good back there and contributed not just a cheap possie scab.

For me, once I realised they were prepared to omit Blamires to give Zurhaar a spot in defence, when Blamires has been more than fine since he started, the idea that Zurhaar could play in defence for a month stopped being fanciful.

TBH Zurhaar has also struggled to have a distinct role in our forward line since Duursma was added alongside Curtis.

But North clearly has faith that Cam can continue contributing, given the length of the last contract he signed.

So although it could easily backfire, the genuine role-change thesis makes more sense than it did at first.

I axed Serong for Angry yesterday and I planned on axing Grlj to upgrade to NWM but now I think I will axe Blamires instead.

That means I can loop Grlj tonight on my midfield bench with Watkins.

Dale BE 96 - scored 113, 1% owned - I'm taking that as a Tick

Ross BE 26 -scored 84, 2% owned - Can I take that as a Tick ? A little Tick ?

Zurhaar BE -7 - Scored more than my VC hopefully(yet to play), 2.3% owned, a big Tick would be nice, as going to Captain him this week

Completely agree with this, Tsatas is a pointless trade in unless you are playing him on field regularly (and he's clearly gonna score more than whoever you leave on a bench). Doesn't work if Murdoch is M8 and you aren't trading one of your other on field mids for him. For me the trade only makes sense if I trade Bruhn to him, but IMO, both Retschko and Cumming solidifying themselves as very nice downgrade targets, makes the Tsatas trade in way less appealing, especially if you spending a boost on him, or can just go one up one down with Anderson instead of him. Tsatas looks better when there are less clear downgrade targets upcoming.

Can't see Stephens or Simpkin getting dropped from the wings. So Blamires probably only gets a gig there if one of them are injured or Jy has to cover for an injured inside mid.

The situation in the defence line is interesting. Blamires obviously can't cover the keys, so that leaves McDonald, Daniel and Zurhaar, none of whom are world-beaters. Problem is, Clarko has shown no real desire to drop any of those three since he came over.

Not even gonna include Parker, such has been his influence in straightening the rest of them out.

I could see a scenario where GWS smash us in outside run this weekend and the selection committee learn the error of their ways. But we shall see.

He's done a good job, but he gets to 350k comfortably if he plays IMO, so it's hard to just leave another 70k on the table. Surely North have players who are clearly worse than him where they could fit him into the side? Regardless of whether it's the exact role he plays.

But after considering my high ranking, the legend that is JuddgementDay suggested I become more aggressive in my approach.

Low on cash now, but Blamires will become Retsh.. Retch... Restch... the bubble boy from Richmond next week, and I'll get a look at the Edwards lads for perhaps a double downgrade. Save some cash for Finn/Rowell/Clug etc maybe.
Though I am super keen on Kozy. I'll wait and see what JJordan does to him before I pull that trigger.

I just traded Jagga to Tsatas to go with my Serong to Angry trade.

I had planned on using another boost to trade Blamires to NWM but I'm a lousy 500 bucks short of doing that.

When Blamires got dropped I changed my plan to trade Grlj to NWM to trading Blamires who I thought was 291k and not 281k.

Oh well, it's not the end of the world, I will get Jaques 69 for Blamires now and I will get to save a boost.

NWM might even be cheaper next week with a breakeven of 128 and even if he isn't I can just trade Grlj to him.

Lost out on JSerong which was the disappointing aspect and givenIve got 150K free I could have kept him.

I did make a bit on Sellwood though.

1.9M on the bench

373 from Duursma alone.

It's definitely setting me back in the leagues but I've got some good growth coming.

If I can get Duursma and Cook to 420K and 350K add in Pou I can get Tracca and Kosi which will add a huge boost.

Biggest issue is how to get Patrick Retschko while his breakeven is really good Duursma, and Murdock are still going on well, and just bought in Tsatas and Anderson so not a lot of worth while options. I'm not burning a trade from Richards.
I've not forseen the issue of having no dpps in the midfield. Only other option is to move McAndrew to the bench, move Bruhn to Flex and get Retschko in
