North members still get 13 home games in Melbourne to go watch their team.

I do get your point as North is one of 10 teams in Melbourne. It does not change my point that it's much better to sell home games to Darwin than to play Freo and Eagles in Perth as home games (even though we would probably get more money).

BTW, in 2025 North will play 12 games in Melbourne (7 are officially home games, 2 home games in WA, 2 home games in Tasmania).

It is a pretty ruthless fixture but one thing that does stick out is the easy start.
I think we're capable of going 6-0 and building some confidence to turn some of those harder fixtures later in the season. Confidence goes a long way as we've seen in recent seasons

Pretty bleak.

Only positive is we might get a good run home, if we can collect wins early away, to give us a chance.

But yeah, could also be we have lost all chance at momentum by that point in the season with a string of away games.

Guess we can’t rely on home games next year to keep us afloat for most of the year.

Doesn’t look like there will be a hill like Mount Barker. Perhaps it will be temporary grandstands the whole way around

The $40 million Barossa Park redevelopment is progressing well, with work expected to be completed by the end of March, ahead of Gather Round in April 10-13, 2025.

Works include a new multi-purpose building comprising a 300-seat event space and clubrooms with AFL-standard changerooms and gym. Turf was laid and new floodlights were installed on the main oval last month. It'll also include a mini Adelaide Oval replica bar and service area. Temporary grandstands will boost capacity to around 10,000 for AFL matches.

Round 12 game Saturday 31 may 1.20 pm against dockers goes into the start of the Round 14 game Titans v Storm at 3pm

Probably happening with other games in the fixture but my friend is a storm supporter and pointed it out that the only loser in a fixture crossover like this is the people of the Gold Coast who possibly want to attend both codes

I'd be really curious to find out how many people regularly attend home games for both the Suns and Titans. Obviously Bods is one of them, but having recently attended home games for both teams myself, I never really got the impression that there was a huge crossover. The crowd numbers tend to indicate that as well given there's only slight decreases when the two teams go head-to-head like this.

Having said that, it would certainly be ideal for both codes if they could try to avoid these situations. We'd rather have people like Bods going to both.

If the suns continue on the trajectory on field that we think then the casual fan attendance will likely increase and that maybe titans supporters or some of their own casual fans who are looking for something to attend
