Apparently Tauru has grown 10 Cm in the last 18 months.

And had a few injuries due to it.

With his athletic profile and marking abilty he could be a serious weapon if he gets to 196cm or more.

Not that he can’t be now, but another inch or more would be delicious.

On Trav, I wrote at the time that he must be 189 the way he looked at points standing next to different people. May have been angles and so on, but definitely appeared to be taller than listed
 
Was hoping Cole was good enough to get picked up. I pictured Cole at fullback by the time he was ready with Barrat at CHB then Tauru playing CHF with King FF. Sounds like a "could be anything" spine if I've ever heard one 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
 
Sandy pick up should've been announced for next year to help build momentum. The late annoucement meant sandy didn't draft anyone good enough.

I wonder if we honour it next year if we announce the player publically before the draft so if he's picked up by another club we have a get out clause

Yeah but the talk was that he was good enough defensively, which is what I'm dying for in our future full back. Probably could've been coach to be safer with his kicking unless he improved it year on year.

I think it was probably him being one dimensional. He's a good stopper but that's all. And he can't play anywhere else.
Barratt (who probably took his spot) has played back, forward and even gone into the middle.

Barrat's supposed strengths would surely be wasted at fullback. The fullback's job should be the stopper don't you reckon? Cole was very fast at his height of 197cm too which is not a bad trait to have down back.

I’m sure we wouldn’t pick him up if he wasn’t trying to improve his off field behaviour.
Marlion Pickett and Andrew krakour examples.
 
Despite Saintscomemarchingin raving about Hugh Boxshall early in the piece, I believe I can one up him. You see this kid has followed in the footsteps of the one & only Grav to have played for Swanbourne at Allen Park, ok I played about 3 seasons over 40 years ago, but still. 🤪 🤪 😜
 
I don't think I've been this melancholy about a draft in a long time. Looks to me like the club must be playing the long game as l find it hard to see these draftees impacting for quite a while.
That said, we've taken effectively 13 youngsters in the last 2 drafts so weight of numbers should make some difference.

I wouldn’t think about it that much.

Any club would be crazy to touch him.

The heat it would bring on the club and potential divide within the playing group ie mason woods thoughts.

We would lose the female supporter base I dare say as well.
