I’m aware of what this is fellas.

I’m asking you to read where he thinks the players kinda of fit

For example he doesn’t think Langford makes it to 7.

But Hones in on Murphy Reid for us
'Hones in' might be a little strong of a description.

St Kilda and Melbourne will look at him later in the top-10 before then listing multiple clubs in the teens who like him and then mentioned he could be there until pick 17.

Doesn’t get mentioned before our pick though.

Linked us to about 10 players. In other words he genuinely has nfi this year
The reason he has linked us (and so many other clubs) to so many players is because of the totally unknown outcomes of Pick trading.

Highly possible that 3 or 4 of the Top 10 picks might be live traded next Wednesday night which will have a massive impact on not only the Top 10 selections but also Picks 11 to 20.

I reckon we’ll give 8 and 32 to GWS for 15 and 16. People will say we don’t need to give up 32 but we wouldn’t need it anyway with the amount of list spots available.

I reckon these will be our picks:
7 - Smith
15 - Lindsay
16 - Shanahan
47 - Cole
80 - Hoffman
Rookie - Peckett

I also think we’re a chance to trade back in late to grab Blakiston, future third special.

He justified having him so high in his rankings by saying maybe Saints or Melbourne look at him with our later pick but realistically thinks he should go in the teens by the plethora of clubs with picks in that area that he mentioned.
He literally verbatim linked us the same on gettable last week.

So he has effectively said for the last week unless a slider gets to 7.

The first choice for us will be Allan Murphy or Tauru

I reckon that's about bang on for our target. I think they'd love to be able to pick up Lindsay at 15.

The only one in doubt will be which mid will be the best available for us at Pick 7.

Draft order will be:
1 Lalor (Tigers)
2 Tauru (Roos)
3 Ashcroft (Lions) - matched
4 FOS (Carlton)
5 Draper (Crows)
6 Langford (Demons)
7 Smilie (Tigers)
8 Smith (Saints)
9 Lombard (Suns) - matched
10 Travalgia (Giants)
11 Armstrong (Demons)
12 Reid (Tigers)
13 Kako (Bombers) - matched
14 Trainor (Tigers)
15 Allan (Eagles)
16 Hotton (Power)
17 Marshall (Lions) - matched
18 Hynes (Dockers)
19 Lindsay (Saints)
20 Shanahan (Saints)

Young talent? 😂

Maybe for Malvern.

They are very average VFL footballers.
The point is you’d faint if you knew how much some of these players can make at suburban clubs. It’s just a lousy deal to play at sandy as a top up for peanuts.

Given that anyone who signs on and plays great football is on display and available to every other club as well, what’s the point ?.

Anyway it looks like we have a get out this year and hopefully we’ll quietly ditch it before the next draft.

By slider, I presume you mean one of the mids from the 'top group' every journalist expects to be available at our pick.
And there is a world where none of those 6 make it through to 7.

Hence having Tauru there.

North are no guarantee to select this kid at pick 2.

I’m aware you can be well paid on the suburban circuit.

But you forgo that money for your chance to get on an AFL list and earn considerably more in 12 months time.

It’s a trade off. But if your good enough you’ll back yourself.

Sure, there is a scenario where one isnt available. But all the knowledgable journalists expect one to be available which has more weight than the 3 you've decided we will be picking from.

I really dislike this must pick a player from Sandy deal.
It actually makes no sense.
Even if we had a gun that we wanted wouldn’t other teams be able to access them anyway?
So what’s the point.
Don’t go down this path. They’ll come at you with pitchforks.

The summer intern came up with it at last year’s Xmas lunch. The trouble is that the lunch had gone until 1am and he wrote it on a napkin.

Twomey last night said it’s more likely then unlikely north don’t trade pick 2.

Ralph had an article last night with quotes from north saying they will not reach for a tall as they took a few last year and it will be best available at pick 2.

So we are hoping Melbourne at 5 or Richmond at 6 grab Tauru.

You can only go off the latest chatter and that is the last 24 hours.

Those 3 are literally the links from this morning. You may prefer Tauru.

But the majority of posters and fans want a genuine midfielder
