Can we have an update on list spots? Sorry if its available elswhere.

I posted this in thread II and think it is correct. All based on the interview with Brady last week.

At the time Brady said we have 36 contracted players. 44 list spots available. If nothing changes, we'll take 5 picks - 2, 3, 15, 17 & 18 to the draft. Leaves 3 spots.

Since then, we signed Toby Pink so that means 2 spots.

In discussions with Nyuon with Bonar, Turner & Mahoney waiting.

Not sure what the mix of senior and rookie spots will be.

The other caveat is Brady said we're still look at trading up. In which case suggest we'd take 4 early and maybe 1 late or give one more of the above another year.

I think this is correct?

Still plenty of other trades out there for them to ramble on about for next 3 days.... not sure what their cliff hanger will be though

“What I’m hearing and is currently gaining momentum in WA, is that WCE could potentially make a play for Cam Zurhaar.

He’s a WA boy so it makes sense that he would apparently consider coming back if the price was right.

He was recently spotted getting a strawberry thickshake at the Belmont Hungry Jacks and apparently he toured the restaurant and ran his eyes over the financials whilst there.

This could be the missing piece that sets up the pick 1 trade.

Will be very interesting to watch how this one plays out..”

Bang! - 7 days of trade radio/talkback/internet podcasters content and BF trade scenarios right there ladies and gentlemen 👍

Could we consider something like this?

In: 1, 23
Out: 3, 17, 18
Roughly where best offer lands. I’m guessing

In: 1, 23(maybe)
Out: 2 (won’t matter both clubs will know who other is taking) 15, 18(also know who others are interested in)

Strawberry thickshake? I call BS.

Agree curtis worked into the year well, just needs to fix his tank a little this off season.
Also dropped alot of marks he probably should have taken. But he's a best 22 lock for me
He needs to use his body to hold his ground behind a player instead of pushing them out and he'll have another 10 marks in front of goal per year.

Jack Billings would be an upgrade on Mahony.
54 or whatever we got that we aren't going to use for Billings?

Just thinking back to that Rawlings interview on trade radio last week, and in particular his response to the question about Nick Haynes.

"We're always open to players who can help us in the short-term as well (...) having lost so many experienced players in Goldstein and Cunnington, Ziebell, Hall - there's a lot of players' experience there that we have lost. If someone could help us, along with Liam Shiels who we've gone with for another year, for the next year or two, then we'd certainly look at that as well."

With Haynes now seemingly off the table, are there actually any other key defenders left in the AFL who could conceivably be brought on for a year or two? Gardner seems too young to be thought of as a 1-2 year short-term proposition. Howard as well.

Maybe, in hindsight, he wasn't thinking of key defenders at all, because Gunston certainly fits that description too.

Keath? Maybe Dogs will look to move on one and replace it with a young tall they have in?
Melican and Grimes are out
Has Day re-signed?

Whats his wage going to be?

I heard this being talked about in quite a compelling (not necessarily for us) way in that he's on 450-500k a year however with the pay increase that means he's essentially minimum wage.
