Tom Green getting a week is a pest.

Amartey > Roberts
McKenna > Hawkins (Sheezel to defense)

Will have to field 3 of Baker/Wilmot/Phillipou/Greene/Williams plus Ashcroft/Michalanney/Buckley on field. Baker and Williams easily loopable.

Luke Edwards - he’ll stick around a while, yeah?
Worth bringing in or does he offer no advantages over the cheaper options?
You'd think so for the below reasons:

1. Injuries to other mids
2. He's been performing decent since he came in
3. The team is crap so may as well play young guys

Note - Sheed and Shuey both may be back this week so there's 2 mids that will need to go out, though I believe that'll be Ginbey (rested) and either O'Neill or Clark.

With shit rookies on the horizon I’m reluctant to trade both Ginbey and Mackenzie. High BEs but quite capable of turning that around with solid JS/roles and onfield points. Almost a POD move in itself to keep them.

Hnmm decisions 🤔

With Yeo injured again I think I definitely want to find a way to hold Ginbey. In game rest so hopefully is right to go again this week

I'm not boosting for them.
.
I prob hold Rebecca was heading a ton..or close to it.

I'll pick one unsure which one.

Is it absolute madness to triple downgrade? I think Johnson, Williams & Roberts are 3 of the better rookies we'll get in a season where there aren't many, and along with hopefully Mitchell next week, it's worth grabbing them all. Accordingly have gone Goater, Ginbey & Mackenzie out for the three, which feels a bit bonkers. But means next week I can go an Alwyn/Wilmot down to a Mitchell and a Constable up to effectively anyone I want.

Could let Williams slide and get Butters in instead or similar, I guess. But feel like getting all 3 might be a real smart play long term, even if a bit odd this week.

Is the only reason you think they are the better rookies because they have played games?

I don’t know the details of rookies at every club, but I guarantee more will pop up.

At Carlton alone we have Cincotta and Binns pushing for selection.

Yeah, fair. Cincotta and Binns do seem to have some solid numbers. Just can't see much else on the horizon bar Mitchell. But you're right, they do always pop up, & the MSD should add a few in anyway.

Two down and 1 up for me. (Atouk)

Too early to ditch Ashcroft?
If you have any of McKenna, Wilmot, McVee, Cowan, Baker, or even Chandler and Ginbey etc on field, then yes. Your priority needs to be getting rookies averaging 50-65 off the field. A rookie averaging 77 with a still relatively low BE, great JS and role (with the capability of spike scores) should be one of your last priorities to upgrade. Don't just cull for the sake of bringing in a Touk etc because it looks good in your team.

For instance, a combo of Parish and Ashcroft on field plays a lot better than say Baker and paying for a $620k Miller. Bank the points that Ashcroft provides – he'll still make you cash. Now is when you need to start looking for value upgrades, as the rookies on the immediate horizon aren't overly great, and people have burnt a lot of sideways trades early.

Trade to a super permo.

Given our injury conundrum at the moment he’s due to have some time out of the game ….. 😢

At 191k I’m not sure it’s worth a crack but he’ll play games at that 60-70 score level

Fair point, added him. Brisbane have the first bye, maybe folk are happy to leave him until after then? Steele in the same boat.
First bye is still a fair few weeks away. Then he covers the rest of the more difficult byes.
Point being points gained from now til then vs waiting and maybe paying a bit more.

My SP mid upgrade list this week was
1. Neale
2. Merrett (bargain but suspension looming) so wait a week.
3. Touk.

I already have Oliver, Laird, Bont and if I can get to 6-7 SP mids sooner than later may help me catch up from bad starting team.
Then pick up low ownership risk picks for differential’s on the run home.
