That’s how I felt to begin with but thinking more about it I don’t believe we as a club or playing group is unsettled. If these allegations had taken place at our club then absolutely. It might have a slight impact but I think he was more moving up to Brisbane for lifestyle and contract reasons.
That's put my mind at ease a bit as I think Dunkley will be immense for us. I feel the same way in that as heinous as these accounts are, nothing has come to light from our First Nations players during Fagan's time with us (that we know of). In fact, in the Fagan era we have been able to secure the likes of CEY (for better or worse), Cameron & Ah Chee which - from the outside looking in at least - would present as us fostering a culturally safe environment.

I came here to post the same article! What an absolute clown Rendall is!! Safe to say you can see why he isn’t directly involved in any club
Anymore… 😂😂

TBH, Cam does not have a enough draft capital to make it a plausible scenario anyhoo.

After having Bevo as a coach his whole career... can you imagine how excited Dunkley would be to have Fagan as a coach? The best man manager in the comp

Really hope this fagan thing doesn’t throw up a spanner in the works to getting Dunkley. Not knowing if your senior coach is going to be there next year makes it quite uncertain . Worst case scenario and fagan has to fall on his sword we should get on the phone and get Ross the boss . Would help fix defensive issues and I can see him being interested in taking brisbane job due to our premiership window and non afl state .

Nah, Ross and Pyke won't be in the radar as they lost the previous jobs under off-field issues.
That's exactly what we are currently dealing with.

Wouldn't be opposed to taking Bowes. Very good player. Very versatile. Needs a decent run at it.

Unsure how to get it done. Pick 15 for Bowes, 25, 31, (and 35?). Salary dump, we get points, and on trade future 1st to dogs for Dunkley.
Taking on his salary will be the big issue for us, given we've done similar salary dumps (Witherden) relatively recently.

AFL.com.au reporting that Gold Coast will do yet another brilliant trade where they give away a good player AND a high draft pick!

SUNS' EARLY PICK UP FOR GRABS

GOLD Coast is set to dangle pick No.7 as the draft sweetener for clubs vying to take on Jack Bowes and the two remaining years on his contract.

Bowes is signed through to the end of 2024 on a heavily back-ended deal, with the former top-10 pick and Suns Academy product open to a move to a new club.

The Suns are also embarking on a proactive reset of their salary cap position and will use their strong draft hand to entice rivals to take on players.

It means clubs such as Hawthorn, St Kilda, Geelong and Essendon, who have all shown interest in Bowes, would also be in line to land the extra draft capital as part of the deal to take the versatile Sun's contract off their books.

AFL.com.au revealed this week that the AFL will approve more aggressive 'salary dumps' as clubs reallocate their cap payments. It is a move that would allow clubs who have salary space to use the money to bolster their draft hands. Money moves are set to become the new normal in the AFL trading landscape as clubs weigh the salary cap price of buying a draft pick.

Gold Coast has gun pair Noah Anderson and Matt Rowell as important re-signing targets next year but will also position itself to be ready to entice key players and free agency options in coming years, with the salary cap moves to create a pay buffer. The Suns are expected to land pick No.5 in this year's draft from Adelaide as part of a deal for exciting goalkicker Izak Rankine.

Bowes played five games this season, for a total of 83 at the club, after a shoulder injury in the pre-season. – Callum Twomey

Caracalla or Gia are the 2 I’d love at the Lions if Fagan does have to be let go hopefully Fages stays though

Coaches such as Blake Caracella, Nigel Lappin and Jaymie Graham remind me of Fly Macrae in their style and persona so I'd be keen on one of those three. I really like Yze, however, he does have some involvement with that Hawthorn culture as well having been an assistant there under Clarko. I like the suggestion of Brad Scott too, I think we could work wonders with our list. I unfortunately think it is likely Fagan steps aside as a result of this but hope I am wrong.

He's moving here for his personal life. We just happen to be the team in the city. Don't think it bothers him who the coach will be.

Would like to think it’s unlikely given the issues he has raised are relating to lack of professionalism amongst playing group and from the outside looking in it seems our team is a relatively tight group and have several leading players which set a high standard (add Ashcroft to that mix too). But never say never so fingers crossed this doesn’t add any further speed bumps to trade week.
Only my opinion but I would be dead against chasing someone like Ross. Being in Perth during his coaching days and knowing a few of the team directly he seemed to very much create division within the playing group (pet players vs everyone else) and whilst he is known for his strategic thinking, the playing group found it very difficult to execute his game day plans which would often move week to week. Just don’t think coaches that fit this coaching style would get the best out of the playing group we have.

It has been reported that he was dissatisfied with the Bulldogs culture which was one of the reasons he was looking to leave, you would think Chris Fagan has had a hell of a lot to do with how our culture has developed and improved over the last 6 years. Fagan maybe leaving could give him reason to re think his decision.
