Imagine the absolute disdain he'd have for our past greats at both levels, and how threatened he would be by what they've achieved and their winners mentality.

Sitting through those Hall of Fame nights must just be complete agony for him.

He starts his John Cahill Medal speech last year with "great to see you Jack, we only see each other once a year at these things"... 😂 😂 😂

Invite the bloke into your office for a coffee a couple of times a season you ****ing plonker, you might learn something.
I wonder what Jack thinks of Hinkley's lack of preparation for big games and his inability to display any game day coaching abilities.

I'm sure Koch's finals is a pass mark comment must make him vomit in his mouth, it's not like we coming from the bottom 4 in the previous season.

part of me wants him to last the season but only if they promise to parade him around with a lap of the ground in the last home game against the Suns…too good an opportunity to miss give him the send off he deserves 😉

Koch fears losing all our best players when Ken exits.

Imagine having a chairman who thinks so little of his own footy club, that he believes a barely-coherent, unattractive, ageing slob with no winners medals as a player or coach, is the only reason we can retain our stars.

Eyewitness accounts place the great man heading over the footbridge in disgust halfway through the third quarter of last season's Qualifying Final disgrace against Geelong.

He also tweeted what a great appointment Josh Carr will be as Port's coach upon the handover announcement, making no reference or tribute to Hinkley.

I reckon that's a fair indicator of where he probably stands (privately).

Richardson has said that the club fears a mass player exodus when Hinkley leaves. Says a lot about the culture the current administration has created at the PAFC

It absolutely baffles me that many of us have spent the past 10 or so years being cast as heretics and a fifth column of enemies within, when these unaccountable arseholes essentially echo the viewpoint held by the dumbest supporters of our biggest rivals.

If the Brisbane Lions can survive the "Go Home Five" to eventually win a premiership and make multiple grand finals, surely we can survive a small exodus of "Daddy Donuts Dickhead Disciples" without too much panic.

100%

Brisbane went through everything the apologists strive to claim we did/do, but far worse, and actually succeeded on a narrower timeline:

• ‘Stud exodus!’: Crisp, Yeo, Polec, Redden, Rockliff, Hanley, Beams;

• ‘Basketcase!’: 17th, 17th, 18th from 2015-2017;

• ‘Nobody at games!’: sub-20,000 average home attendance from 2014-2018;

• ‘Nobody wanted to come!’: In the decade prior to Hodge and Birchall following Fagan up there, and excluding Dayne Beams who only moved home due to his father’s terminal illness, Brisbane’s biggest recruit was either Allen Christensen or Ryan Bastinac;

• ‘We just had too many injuries’: Kiddy Coleman, Tom Doedee, Darcy Gardiner and Linc McCarthy all out with ACL’s last year, atop McInerney’s dislocated shoulder suffered in the Prelim;

The Lions get their arses into gear and go from worst to first in the space of just 7 seasons, and we’ve got Ken Hinkley shamelessly referring to them and their coach as ‘inspiration’ for wanting to come back for Season 13.

Based on 2nd hand info from someone who knows him well this is accurate.

Give it a few weeks and there will be one for Carr lol..

Was there one for chocco?

Or was that the chocco to Baghdad thread?
There was a lot of angst about Choco over many years. Many, including me, doubted he would take us to a premiership. Alan Scott was wrong, I was wrong. Happy to admit that. From 2004 onwards, Choco started to dominate the Alberton landscape to the detriment of the club. I don't blame him - the administration had fallen away and power always fills a vacuum. But Choco could coach and he demanded things of his players.

Donuts demands only that they love him. We're all supposed to love Ken, and somehow, the idiot Koch thinks if we don't, we are hurting the club. Thirteen years. Most of them wasted.

Koch doesn't know anything about football, about a club, about the conviction of the supporters whose lives would actually be better with a premiership. Koch would smirk, say 'I told you so' and hop back on the flight to Sydney. The big problem is that Cardone, Davies, and Richardson know nothing about football, the club and supporters either.

It's too early to judge Carr. But he was an uncompromising, fearless footballer who has served an apprenticeship. Right now, picking some random Port fan out of Rundle Mall to coach this team wouldn't hurt us any more than Hinkley has over so many years.

Hinkley to Baghdad. Now.

Hinkley thinks he's a great coach, pure and simple. The list, injuries, players not turning up, recruiting, assistants, doctors, fitness, the sanfl, our history, one captain, humidity, hard competition all contribute negatively toward his legacy and coaching dynasty.
Not to mention "they played last week and we didn't" which somehow absolves him of any resposibility for his biggest ever loss. I can't believe that was just glossed over by the Club and its media sycophants.

The only reason I disagree here is the Iraqis really dont deserve this kind of treatment.

They can all leave. I'd make no special effort to retain any player who couldn't cope with a coach with expectations and standards. The up side is that even we, surely, would be able to get some trade capital out of it.

Nah, I think after almost 10 years and 120,000 posts of this and precursor threads, we'd have to keep one open just for general ****posting, surely?
It would actually be pretty funny to label the general shitposting thread sack Hinkley so that 10 years after he is gone we are on like sack Hinkley 25.

The only scenario were that would go close to being a legitimate explanation is if they had run over the top of us in the last quarter due to superior match fitness. We were 21 points down at quarter time and 34 points down at half time. Match fitness had zero to do with the loss.

Hinkley is a loser and unable to accept any responsibility for his failings yet after all this time Koch and his board continue to swallow his pathetic excuses.
