This is different in one sense because it has exposed how amateur the VAR process is. The incident will lead to changes. They need to move to make the whole thing transparent. Live audio and display of the lines. And have a standard form of wording in the communication.

It's different because the most basic law of the game - the referees decision being final - is undermined totally by this.

No they don't need to broadcast audio, will add nothing. Unless Klopp wants to open his dressing room to audio as well. His integrity should be called into question for starting Gakpo ahead of Nunez.

Gakpo scored, Nunez had a knock and wasn't able to start.

jod23 why did you post a handful of s**t videos from s**t people who do nothing but post absolute tosh just to get clicks and likes and make money. Their opinion is swayed by what will get them likes, not actual opinions.
Thats the uproar apparently.

The referee's decision was final. The assistant gave offside. An offside free kick was played by the referee. It was a bad decision just like a million other bad decisions that have happened in games without a week long sook fest.

You just posted a bunch of click bait m8

Bizarre decision by the panel, it totally undermines what they're all about.

Yeah it's bullshit. Why are they reviewing yellow cards? Their judgment can't overturn the red card so why make it public? The panel includes Robert Green and Karen Carney so it has little credibility.

Another replay?

Nah. They are only for when the laws of the game have been broken. Incorrect decisions made on the day are allowed in LOTG and are final.

Correct decisions made on the day to award a goal not actually ending up as a goal on the scoresheet is against the laws of the game completely.

That should be the starting point for any possible replay.

Ironically even Goldbridge, a Utd personality - calls others out for bringing up dodgy decisions

Ha ha, which section of the rulebook does it say that replays are required in any circumstance.
