Laughable stuff that they are using VAR to overrule goals from that camera angle

If it was the premium world cup version of VAR you could cop it, when they are manually drawing lines on that screen cap it is outrageous to overrule the linesman

You can just make up whatever decision you want

The attack wasn’t even done from supporters running onto the pitch. 😳

Crazy stuff.

MKE Ankaragucu president Faruk Koca should face jail time and the club suspended for at least the rest of this season, with automatic relegation.

This bloke ran up and kicked the ref in the face when he was on the ground.

That should end any PGMOL conspiracy theories from moomba

Never called advantage and blew a split second before the pass upfield.

A pretty standard case of a referee not getting advantage right which isn't an unusual occurrence. At least in this case the attacking team had the ball in midfield and not in an immediate goalscoring position.

Watch it again. He had his arm out signalling advantage. This is when he blew his whistle.

Grealish would have been clean through on goal.

I presume you didn't watch the Howard Webb interview. He never called advantage and had already decided to blow the whistle to stop play in order to caution Emerson.

Just unlucky that happened a split second prior to the ball going upfield.

The ref doesn't have to verbally call advantage. Hooper had his arm outstretched indicating advantage.

And no, he didn't blow his whistle a split second prior to the ball going upfield. Repeating falsehoods doesn't make them true. He blew after the pass, when the ball is almost with Grealish. It wasn't unlucky. It has been acknowledged as an error and as Webb asys "hopefully he'll not do it again".

Conspiracy theory? Bit dramatic, when all I've said is that I'd like to hear why the ref made the decision he did.

Good to see the refs explaining decisions hasn't resulted in the sky falling in though (although the he didn't even realise he was signalling for an advantage explanation is an new one).

I'm also not buying Webb's explanation that sometimes at ground level you don't see events clearly. The ref had a perfect view.

Hooper's first word when surrounded by the City players was "sorry". He knew he had ****ed up. It was just a brain fade by an otherwise good ref. But having made the wrong call there was nothing he could do.

Just wait until she makes a wrong decision

Rebecca Welch will ref the Fulham v Burnley game on 23 December. She will be the first woman to ref a top flight game in England. Sam Allison will take charge of the game between Sheffield United and Luton at Bramall Lane on Boxing Day, making him the first black referee in the top-flight for 15 years.

Outside of all the politics, it's important that the same standards are applied. We just want the best officials at the highest levels regardless of sex or skin colour.
