My dear Mr AFL, there are only 5 players in todays team who played in that premiership, so I again ask the question, if the ground switch will suit OB better?

Either way, I’m hopping my lads salute today, but whatever the result, this is a win for VAFA football as SKOB are playing with 21 home grown kids, with OB around 18 players.
Play them all at Sandy if you ask me. SKOBAFL over Brahton one pointers

Great Day and Year for the Catholic teams. Time to acknowledge them.

SKOBAFL in a scrap win seniors.

Old Xavs up against the the always strong Old Scotch Ressies win a rip snorter at Toorak Park. Big Plugger goes out with another flag. Amazing stuff!

Under 19’s..the youth of today and the future of tomorrow. Brighton took on the Xavs and it was the mighty Claret and Stout that came through.
Great game!

U23’s..Claret and Stout defeat the X-Men in a modern day classic. Lots of skill on offer. Lots of classic contests.

So 4/4 for the Catholic Lass (Xavs doing most of the heavy lifting again)

Well done to all!
I think you will find SKOBAFL won the lasses final. To win both Premier Premierships will be very hard to replicate

Yes..I only follow the mens footy.
So big results for the Catholics. Under 19’s in particular. As Whitney once said…the children really are our future. And well done to Brighton for also getting to the big dance in the Unders as well. The future looms bright there. Amazing effort.

Great to have the forum draw card back. I was beginning to give credence to the conjecture you had decamped with the Hippbet takings à la that scoundrel "Canada". Suppose laundering money through casinos is a tad more time-consuming in these times.

Sadly, your outstanding posting has slipped a bit. Out of practice, I guess.

Don't think many BF correspondents give a toss bag about twos or oldies. Maybe a glimmer about the youngies. Here it's the ones that matter.

So let's look at the Privilege Entitlement Trophy (PET). It was 50/50 Prodos v Micks. The Brahton Benz Boys tearing your Lexus Lads a newy. Some do wonder whether there are peeps at the Lexus Lads base mulling over whether the two-year contract extension for the coach was well-advised.

Then Guru Coach Hutchison showed the Purple Porsche Peeps off.

Now enormous credit should go to the Toorak Toffs for their victory today. Moving from the scholarship, job creation model to the spirit of amateurism model under BJ/Plugger was both impressive and laudable. And that's no BS.

I guess the Toorak Toffs will be feasting on pheasant and washing it down with some Penfolds Grange as they toast their PET win at T.H.King.

As for Prem B and C, no Catholic side to be seen. Disappointing for Jase's lads to go down by a snifter. Would have been good for amateur footy to have a district side in a GF.

Anyhoo, good to have you back Hippster. I have it on good authority the keeper of peace here has been lamenting your absence. Not to mention Mr. Briza.

I saw a six time A Grade Premiership player at Sandringham today. He wasn’t counting Unders flags!

What a magnificent win by the young SKOB football team, which was matched by the outstanding speech by young Harry Hill post game.

Two clubs with respect for each other played a great, dour, tough but fair game of footy yesterday. The only downside of the loss will be the sad prognostications from the OB ‘Benchwarmer’, but even he will appreciate the game for what it was.

As for the naysayers who were happy to shoot down the appointment of multiple SKOB Premiership captain Plugger Lynch as coach, well the proof is in the pudding.

A good win by SKOB, well done to them. They've clearly been the most consistent, well drilled and structured team throughout the season.

Also, good on Jok in his first full season back from the AFL (non-covid interrupted) being awarded the Jock Nelson Medal.

Bring on 2023.

I wouldn't think Prahran cricket club would be happy they're using Toorak Park . Why aren't the 19s and ressies at TBO ?
Jase will give a ground report and weather prediction at some stage .
Prahran CC have injected eff all for this rebuild apparently and have asked for plenty says an associate of mine in the legal.lprofession. and teh game at Toorak oval was organised by Old Xaverians and Scotch....VAFA apparently had no idea what to do nor input. Xaverians president has saved their bacon. And also...I'm a news hound today. No ovals were available bar TO

PCC are good at not paying

Congrats to Mr Winter on winning the VAFAOB Rising Star medal, and to Messers Borthwick and Hill on tying for the Woodrow medal, a truly outstanding achievement.

He has now won the SKOBAFL Best & Fairest as well. The last player to complete the treble in a Premiership season was Lachie Sullivan. We won’t see either in the VAFA for a number of seasons and they come back as SKOBAFL players.

Will be interesting to see if he wants to play VFL, I don’t think he will ala Mr Harry Hill.

If he does, the 2021 VAFA Coaches MVP, Mr Wallis, will be a more than handy replacement.

Alright Mr Hutchison has retired at the Brahton 1 pointers. I always enjoyed positioning myself 15 metres away from his bench for an afternoon of enlightenment and entertainment. His team personified his footy beliefs. We done old chap!
Now Braahton must move heaven and earth to prise the prince of Bayside, Mr Martyn away from the dark side and into their bosom.

So Guy McKenna any chance for the Senior coaching role ? Did good work at Beaumaris with a younger list
