What's with all the talk about David McKay. Just another solid player who won't make much difference to a team that is looking for a premiership/top 4. Amazing how much players values go up when they become realistically available.

Blistering pace & a high quality kick (or at least he used to be, haven't watched a lot of Adelaide lately). He's no world beater, but he offers some nice attributes.
Also, it's still not as dumb as the Tomlinson speculation.

If he got it more than 15 times a game, he'd be a valuable get. This year seems like the first time he has gone up a notch

Yeah, I was surprised to see that. I think he's a good defender but he looks and moves like a player older than his years.
Not sure if that was a dig but it's accurate. Shouldered the whole backline before Buckley arrived this year. His weighted shoulders are Judd-esque.

I thought first year Rookies had 2 years default?
Guys taken in the main draft do have a mandatory 2 year deal, but guys in the rookie draft just the 1.
