McCormick 1 match. Ran past the ball, high contract, taunted the said player after. Genuinely cannot understand the NFNL tribunal sometimes.

Umpires testimony may have saved him if he only judged it “free kick” worthy.

Never seen a report reading ‘high contact and taunted said player after’.
Not sure why you mentioned that.

Staggered that McCormick only got 1 week, NFNL lost the plot if they are giving out yellow cards for melees but this is only worth one week, ran past the ball, hit Mont player high, who was concussed. Intentional, high contact, forceful, should have been at least 3-4 weeks

No tribunal when offered set penalty of one week and took it.

Flaw is in NFNL set penalties not the tribunal.

Denny Crane flaw is with the NFNL, all set penalties should be reviewed.
This was a weak act and deserved more than a week
If Lentini misses the next 3 games due to concussion protocols then this is a disgraceful decision - If there was no concussion and the incident looked worse on the footage than what it was ie: umpire got it right and just minor contact justifying a free kick then play on. If Lentini misses 3 games due to concussion protocols (We will know tomorrow) then this is a disgraceful NFNL decision for both Lentini and Monty and simply not good enough.
I guess we will all make a judgement call tomorrow.

Rumours he is out but due to another injury?

I am not saying everything is correct, all that NFNL offered early plea, he took it.

If injured player missed games that just adds to the issue of set penalties. They are only around to ensure tribunal does not have to work on Tue and Wed, no other reason.

For mine early pleas have always been an easy get out of jail card, a report should be a report. The League just decided to make things easier for them and offer set penalties.

Umpire only payed a free no card at the time but after the game decided it was worth a week??? Surely if the umpire thinks its worth a week its worth a yellow at minimum. Time to think about it??

The umpire can write in his notes “investigate bump midway through third”

And the league will look at it and offer a set penalty, or montmorency report it and offer a set penalty.

Regardless it’s mind boggling how he got away with a week when comparing other incidents over the years. Anyway hopefully he learns his lesson and doesn’t do that again.

I thought the set penalty's where offered by the ump straight after the match following a match day report. Player either excepts the penalty or decides to go to the tribunal and try there luck??

What happened? Oppo clubs testimony is taken very lightly due to clubs helping each other out for future incidents.

If a player had genuinely headbutted a player from their club, do you think they would get two players to testify it didn't happen? One of the worst decisions ever in tribunal history. And then the Eltham players get one week for an intentional high hit where the vision is clear. Talk about crucifying a player due to past incidents. Treating each incident on its merit. PFFT!

What is mind boggling is that he can’t get a game at the Bullants, he should not have even been at Central psrk…
