So, who were the big winners, the big losers and how did you rate each clubs, or your own clubs performance?

Westcoast, Melbourne, Richmond & Freo are the winners.

Very happy with Rich, Yarran & Jetta.

looks pretty good. although i dont think eagles will use any picks after 36. they dont have enough space on the roster. otherwise we need to cut more players. as it is to use pick 36 i still think someone needs to be cut.

ben cousins is going into the pre-season draft i think. so collingwood wont use a draft pick on him.

ayce cordy will be going in the first round. i think at least one team below 14 will bid for him. he is a great yound prospect so it would not make sense to let him go in the 2nd round. if said team gets him with thier pick good for them they got a great prospect if not it forces bulldogs to use thier first rounder on him making them unable to strengthen thier team as much as possible.

and i dont think adam cockie will go so low.

but other then that looks pretty good

Jarrod Blight at 64? I think this kid is much better then that if its the one from SD that im thinking about.
No Alistair Smith from Perth? I believe he is near a certainty to get picked up, but otherwise fun read non the less.

ESSENDON

5. Essendon - Hamish Hartlett - No problems here. Classy mid who is a good fit.

23. Essendon - Aaron Cornelius- Not sure how we end up with another forward who has question marks on his pace and agility. With Gumbleton, Neagle and Daniher as developing forwards already on the list i do not see us taking Cornelius in the second round. To top it of personally i think he is over rated. Given the way the results fell here in this mock i would have been looking at Tom Lynch here.

39. Essendon - Riley Milne- Possibly a bit high. If i went for Lynch second round then this pick would probaly have been a mid. Possibly Speight, Allwright , Klemke .

55. Essendon - Zach Senstock- Not bad for this spot but in saying that Post went with the next pick and i rate him a better prospect.

71. Essendon - Alex Stopp- would be a very good get here

87. Essendon - Aaron Purves- even though he is another forward he would be a good get in this position.

Overall not too bad :)

cheers!

had port not taken hurley that would have changed everything - it was important to hypothetically go safety in numbers with key defenders after missing hurley but i didn't think the available ones warranted pick 5 or 23 at the time.

re cornelius there are no guarantees that any of neagle, gumby or daniher will make it due to injury and/or ability. not sure we can afford to bank on them at present although i am gumbys biggest fan. cornelius could be more the ryan o'keefe type with gumby or neagle closer to the square.

Just not a big fan of Cornelius. He was passed over last year in a draft that had no real depth in its talls and although he was solid in this years champs he still showed there is questions on his pace and agility. He leads, he marks and he kicks goals inside 40. Don't see him as an okeefe type at all. Do not think he has the motor to play that role.
As far as banking on Gumby , Neagle and Daniher. Well we have drafted them all over the last 3 years so you can not look as an outsider and say we may not be able to bank on them. They will be on our list becasue our recruting staff think they can make it. If you are not banking on them making it then you are probably looking to trade them and not draft more to take their place before they are gone.:)

CARLTON

6. Carlton - Jack Ziebell
24. Carlton - Rhys O'Keefe
40. Carlton - James Strauss
56. Carlton - Jayden Post
72. Carlton - Ashley Smith
88. Carlton - Michael Still

Ding ding ding - we have a winner.
Strauss at 40 is a massive steal.

Carlton is the winner by a mile, they get 3 potential superstars in Ziebell, O'keefe and Strauss with their 1st 3 and then and finish off with some very hand players with the other 3.

props to cruiser23.
extremely well played.:thumbsu:

Looking back now i should've gone Cordy in front of Roughead. Cordy completely skipped my mind. I'll be better prepared next time. ;)
