Teams Miami Dolphins - The Fins

Just browsing through some old files on my computer, and I thought you might like to see some of my favourite classic Dolphins pictures. There used to be a woman on Instagram who specialised in posting the best photos of the Dolphins, usually from their glory days... I haven't visited her page in a while and I'm not sure if she's still there, but here are a few of my favourites -

So what's the thoughts leading in.

I haven't paid too much to the off-season.

I normally keep things pretty simple and not look into the trading or drafting most seasons and wait for the season to start with fresh hope and no expectations on players.

Has the squad improved from the naked eye.

And is this the year to break the playoff victory drought.

Phins haven't made the playoffs in B2B years since 2000/2001 so they haven't backed up a playoff appearance with any consistency in past 2 decades.

Picked up Ramsey and Long in the off season as key contributors, only real loss would be Gesicki. Ramsey went down with an injury about a month back and appears set to be on the sidelines until December last I read. Vic Fangio is in as DC which should help that side of the ball. Tough division the AFC East this year, Miami’s success hinges on how healthy (and upright) Tua can stay. I’d say 9-8/10-7 record, somewhere around there

McDaniel looks like the real deal, and a good coach and a well-functioning organisation are really the two most important building blocks in a team. We have a defense at last, and we have Tua, Tyreek, Waddle and Chosen. If Tua stays healthy when it counts, I'd be disappointed if we didn't make the playoffs -- although, as BuddysBuddy says, the AFCE is looking like a tough division this year. On the plus side, it's looking like an exciting this year, and the old rivalries might become a bit deeper and more intense, which is all to the good!

I've been burned so many times before. But this year could be a fantastic year to be a Phins fan. Hope you have fun watching the games this season!

And Myles Gaskin and Robbie Chosen have just been released. Gaskin comes as something of a surprise, but I don't doubt that he'll be picked up quickly and will go on to do sterling work elsewhere. Chosen - well, perhaps his time has come. He was a steady pair of hands in his day, but he's in his thirties now and the Dolphins WR room is pretty stacked. He's had a good career! 👍

FINS UP, BOYS AND GIRLS!!!

The season starts tonight (at least in my time zone :)). I really believe we can do it this year, provided Tua stays healthy. If our O-line is competent, the sky's the limit!

Hope you all have a fantastic season and enjoy the games in good health. Cheers all! 👍

How amazing must it be to play for the team you grew up cheering for? :p That's a dream come true...
Mike White, our QB2, grew up as a Dolphins fan, and now finds himself sitting in the QB room with Dan Marino. He probably dreamed of that very scenario when he was little, and now he's getting paid millions to do it. 👍
