Grizz, I have to ask. Is your old man still offering a free root? Has he had any success with this form of marketing?

I've lived and worked in Africa on a couple of occasions. And enjoyed browsing the markets where one can pick up AK47s for under a $100 US.

Stumbled across this blog today about 'making fair Africa'. Some very amusing and humorous stories on the first page, but keeping flicking through and there's some really interesting stuff.

Check out the urine generator... might be the answer to our rising power costs. And the modded Tuktuks.

IBleedBrownNGold check out page 2 and the reclaimed palette buildings and furniture. Tis really awesome - a great idea.

Tucked away on the CNN server is still the 'OJ Simpson Trial Hub' from way back in 1996.

There is no direct link to the page, nor can you find it on the menu structure, but you can get there from here.

It's a complete resource of the entire trial, all in 1996 web graphics.

Fascinating.

This is a cool site. Basically a map of the news as it's happening around the world.

Not only does it rank stories by importance, it also categorises them too.

Distance to Mars

From Time Magazine.

"Distance to Mars is a beautiful, clever site that does one thing: it gives you a sense of how far it is from the Earth to Mars. It does so by showing you an image of our planet that’s 100 pixels wide. Then you scroll through the universe, at 7,000 pixels a second, until you reach Mars, which is 428,000 pixels away. You’re left with a tangible understanding of why it’ll be so much harder to get there than it was to reach the moon, a mere 3,000 pixels away."
