Guess it is not impossible some or other club is leaving spots open to see what the cat drags in through the draft and if they miss a target could take someone like former Richmond wunderkind Sydney Stack in the Rookie auction.

I love Stack too Grew-P but I will be shocked if we pick him back up. I just don’t think the club spends time wishing and hoping any more, they have their principles they follow and I doubt they u-turn for anyone.

I hope Sydney can get his life functioning in a way that allows him to perform at his best, whichever club that might be with.

If they took him now as a free agent he must go onto the senior list but as a rookie he goes onto the rookie list with only 1 year deal and salary off the books

I think the salary is on the books, just a different ledger. Doesn’t the base rookie wage count under the soft cap?
