Since Udogie has been out he has tried Davies, Emerson and Skipp and now he comes to this idea

That's a different consideration to the level of the current squad more befitting Europa League than Champions League.
More money, yes. Better players, potentially but not a forgone conclusion.

5th place and happy with the incomings, Ange has had a good year.
Next year if we snag a cup , grab a CL spot or make a proper Europa run. I’ll be happy with that. Would also like a striker to be excited about.

Poor recruitment before doesn't mean poor recruitment into the future. Absolutely no reason they couldn't have signed Maddison and VDV in the champions League that's cognitive bias because you wanted to lose.
