Perennially injured was the note. You've all literally been telling us for years that all of these players are trash.
Make up your mind will you?
Could have done it 3 years ago, I agree.Perennially injured was the note.
Year in year out, Bagger fans would list them as best 22 and talk up Martin, Marchbank and Cunningham as important....only for them to break down every year.
When they were fit, they were all part of the glory run in 2023 (Carlton fans vindicated I guess).
The critique was why continue to carry so many blokes who have proven they can't get their body right. In 2024 5 was the peak games any of them gave the Baggers (perhaps adding to the long injury list aka excuse was their main reason kept on the list?).
Carlton have finally given them all the flick (could have done it 3 seasons ago) and replaced with kids, so weakened depth compared to the B2B finals dynasty years.
Jack Martin won't last more than 4 games. Doesn't have the sanctuary of the roof over at Marvel will find the open air of Kardinia Park a frightening prospect. Nothing surerCould have done it 3 years ago, I agree.
But we still have 30 odd blokes who have proven themselves to be of AFL quality on the list. Are they all high quality AFL players? No, but they've all shown they can come in and play a role when needed.
As for the unproven kids, we'll see how many step up this year to be more than just speculative.
I've said it before, the only player we'll actually miss this year is Kennedy. The rest needed to go.
Tuck went out with his last game being a GF win as a 38 year old. There is some hope for the Pies - a 38 year old just knocked over the 4th seed at the Oz open. It's rare, but it happened so where there is hope i guess.....
I'm a front Vittoria of the first order and about 5 minutes away from a life ban and a life sentence.thats a very very young bull right there folks - cant tell from teh vid wethetr its requisits havent dropped or wether theyve already been snipped - either way ...

What a way to go out...Tuck went out with his last game being a GF win as a 38 year old.
Pendles to do the same in 2026 GF, which will also be his 450th game.

Plenty of players have won grand finals in their 30's. None of those legends won a slam at 38. Carry on with your bright observation and welcome to a banter thread einsteinImagine using men's tennis as an example were 3 legends of the game have won a ton of grand slam's
as 30 year old's. How thick can you be ?
Unlike tennis, football is a team sport hence no reliance on your oldest player to drag you over the line.Plenty of players have won grand finals in their 30's. None of those legends won a slam at 38. Carry on with your bright observation and welcome to a banter thread einstein
In case you hadn't noticed, we don't take things too seriously around these neck of the woods. If you get offended by a bit of banter about old sportsman, perhaps read the room a bit better. Maybe make fun about Craig Bradley playing over 500 senior games well into his 50's or something of that nature ...Unlike tennis, football is a team sport hence no reliance on your oldest player to drag you over the line.
Tom brady won the super bowl at 39,Jabbar NBA champion at 41, Parish 43. Maldini won the CL at 38,
Van De Sar the PL at 40 and the list goes on.
Our very own world champion cricket team has a 38&37 year old playing for them.
