I guess Acres is an A grader then?
Marchbank, Owies, Kennedy, Martin, Cuningham and Newman...Six players they were probably calling spuds at the time I bet
Just one?Marchbank, Owies, Kennedy, Martin, Cuningham and Newman...
Reckon I could pull up close to 1000 posts from one poster in this thread alone calling them all rubbish.
Too young for us, let him mature at the Eagles for a few more years and then pounce.Could have got him for nothing. With how you guys rate him a missed opportunity imo.
Cuningham, Marchbank, Owies and Kennedy GONEAnd which six are they?
Walsh is out for 2-3 weeks of training lmaoCuningham, Marchbank, Owies and Kennedy GONE
Newman out for the year
Cincotta out 3-4 months
Plus Walsh iffy, looking thin

That's why I didn't have him in the original six, which also didn't include MartinWalsh is out for 2-3 weeks of training lmao
Martin and Marchbank are big losses - good to know...

You could do the same exercise with a heap of posters on here - the Owies stuff pre- and post-trade were particularly humorous. That's why no one takes the poster seriously
The original comment was "six players now missing from your last side that won a final", still trueMartin and Marchbank are big losses - good to know...

True but meaningless if you don't rate those players as any goodThe original comment was "six players now missing from your last side that won a final", still true

Marchbank - always injured, best 22 when fit was the story for a good 3-4 years. Got on the park post bye in 2023, Carlton went 6-2.Marchbank, Owies, Kennedy, Martin, Cuningham and Newman...
How I rate them, especially in old posts cut and pasted probably miles out of context, is irrelevantTrue but meaningless if you don't rate those players as any good
Still LukeWho’d you rather as your President?;
Leo Sayer
OR
Luke Sayers
So you never used to rate any of these players... But the second they left Carlton they became important pieces to our chances in 2025 and the reason we'll suck? How I rate them, especially in old posts cut and pasted probably miles out of context, is irrelevant
They were in your last team that had a meaningful win, only 16 months ago
A quarter of a side gone, depth shredded for the 2025 season, gap year coming up

You've all literally been telling us for years that all of these players are trash.Marchbank - always injured, best 22 when fit was the story for a good 3-4 years. Got on the park post bye in 2023, Carlton went 6-2.
Owies - Carlton best (only) consistent goal kicking small
Kennedy - a good role player, strong clubs need these blokes doing the grunt work to support the stars week in week out.
Martin - always injured, best 22 when fit was the story for a good 3-4 years. Got on the park late in 2023, Carlton went 9-3.
Cuningham - always injured, best 22 when fit was the story for a good 3-4 years. Got on the park late in 2023 Carlton went 11-1.
Newman - one of the best during the Bagger B2B dynasty.
Some fairly important pieces of Carlton's glory period in the 21st century...and a big chunk of depth (and injury excuses) gone for the 2025 list.
Yes you calling players a spud could mean lots of things in different contexts...How I rate them, especially in old posts cut and pasted probably miles out of context, is irrelevant

Ever thought the kids you currently think are rubbish will follow a similar journey as those listed and go from players you don't rate to players that are actually half decent?
The club wouldn't have gotten rid of those players if they didn't think we have adequate cover for them coming through.
Not saying these were bad decisions long term, probably good decisions, but this is a 2025 thread now, the "kids" can't make up that depth gap in one year imo, think the Blues will struggle if injuries continue to mount up
