Marchbank, Owies, Kennedy, Martin, Cuningham and Newman...
Marchbank - always injured, best 22 when fit was the story for a good 3-4 years. Got on the park post bye in 2023, Carlton went 6-2.

Owies - Carlton best (only) consistent goal kicking small

Kennedy - a good role player, strong clubs need these blokes doing the grunt work to support the stars week in week out.

Martin - always injured, best 22 when fit was the story for a good 3-4 years. Got on the park late in 2023, Carlton went 9-3.

Cuningham - always injured, best 22 when fit was the story for a good 3-4 years. Got on the park late in 2023 Carlton went 11-1.

Newman - one of the best during the Bagger B2B dynasty.

Some fairly important pieces of Carlton's glory period in the 21st century...and a big chunk of depth (and injury excuses) gone for the 2025 list.

True but meaningless if you don't rate those players as any good
How I rate them, especially in old posts cut and pasted probably miles out of context, is irrelevant

They were in your last team that had a meaningful win, only 16 months ago

A quarter of a side gone, depth shredded for the 2025 season, gap year coming up

So you never used to rate any of these players... But the second they left Carlton they became important pieces to our chances in 2025 and the reason we'll suck?

Ever thought the kids you currently think are rubbish will follow a similar journey as those listed and go from players you don't rate to players that are actually half decent?

The club wouldn't have gotten rid of those players if they didn't think we have adequate cover for them coming through.

You've all literally been telling us for years that all of these players are trash.

Make up your mind will you?

Not saying these were bad decisions long term, probably good decisions, but this is a 2025 thread now, the "kids" can't make up that depth gap in one year imo, think the Blues will struggle if injuries continue to mount up
