I imagine that we will not have anything from Hawthorn about this until the end of Hawthorn's participation in the finals campaign. Clubs traditionally do not talk about free agents or trade targets until their season has been completed, and as far as I'm aware, the club has not acknowledged Barrass' desire to be traded to Hawthorn, so I would not expect them to refer to Battle either.

Edit - I was wrong. The club has put out a statement acknowledging Battle's desire to come to Hawthorn.

Barrass not confirmed yet?

He has told the Eagles he wants to be traded to Hawthorn. Again, as per my earlier post, Hawthorn has not made any statement about Barrass due to the fact that Hawthorn's season hasn't yet ended.

I imagine and expect that the Hawks and Eagles already have the bones of a deal in place and it'll go through pretty early on in the trade period. Both clubs act with dignity with respect to trades, particularly when a player has indicated he wants to be traded to a particular club.
