As someone who was fairly objective on Jeff and welcomed his second tenure to begin with but tired with it and his handpicked successor business as well as the stacked board - I would have preferred that Don **** off regardless of the regime. He’s fought for the club, yes, but he doesn’t support the club now and has said as much on multiple occasions. He’s now wasted club resources on a vanity project when he brings absolutely little to the table. Being able to lead a vocal mob against a merger in 1996 =/= qualified to be a director of an AFL club in 2024. Very happy to have voted this way today and hopefully the vast majority of the membership are like the chorus on here and tell Don once and for all ‘thanks, but no thanks’.

I haven't got that email the HFC mentioned that Vero was sending with votining link - I assume that's how you've got it and they're staggering the emails outs to not crash the site?

Surely it doesn’t need to be explained why people are okay with a guy that overstayed his welcome continually having us on the front page for all the wrong reasons compared to someone who’s only freshly in the job and doing the opposite.

Der, thanks for proving my point. Scott is a useful tool when he’s attacking an approved target, a fool when he attacks a target you think unworthy of his jibes. You have no issue with Scott, per se, you just wish the old fool would bite the people you think deserving and if he doesn’t then he should be kicked to the curb.

Yeah, I heard his interview, too. The AFL year ends on October 31. It’s not as if the club has been sitting around since June 30. By the time they had the numbers audited, it’s actually a pretty fast result to have the annual report out now. I think we were first or second club to publish to members.

People forget that when Don was on the board late 90s-2000's how incredibly bad he was. Well documented from fellow directors at the time. As Ken Judge said to him directly "You saved this club, now f@#k off back to your TAB in Sorrento".
