So I guess you didn't watch Geelong run all over us in a home final three months ago? Because you couldn't have forgotten already right? Or Sydney two weeks after that? What about the baby hawks who nearly stormed over the top of us a week after the Geelong game.

Our running wasn't up to snuff in the finals last year, infact we were beaten in all three finals in total sprints, repeat sprints and defensive running. The only place our running was greater than our opponents was in attack and three of our top five runners were Narkle, McEntee and Frank Evans all of whom were running to no where.

So the grand final isn't a two k time trial the finals are a 45k marathon and we've been found lacking over the last five years when we've competed in them.
Um… the Hawthorn example sabotages your own point. Hawthorn outscored us by 2 points in the last quarter of the Semi Final. We outscored the same Hawthorn by 28 points in the last quarter in R10.

Are you suggesting our fitness problems started in in R11 last year or is it just not a very good point/example?

Funny home and away games and finals are just slightly different in the scheme of things.

So our home and away fitness is excellent but our finals fitness is below par? We beat Sydney in the last quarter of the Prelim, so by that measure our finals fitness was above par.

Fact of the matter is using last quarter results in a handful of games is a very unreliable indicator of fitness levels and when they don’t even show a consistent trend, they prove nothing at all.

I never used last quarter results 🤔 our finals had the exact same patterns, ran hard in offence with Narkle, McEntee and Frank Evans leading the way. While we ran slower and covered far less ground in defense. These were whole game stats I used, less sprints and repeat sprints and far less defensive running over the whole finals series.

Very interersting.

The “baby” hawks were actually older than us on average in that game.

I just know Ken Zero will troll us by playing the Rat ahead of a promising young player at least 7-8 times this year
I hate the fact he on our list, but what would infuriate supporters more; Rat Playing 22 games or Mead Playing 22 games?

Haha, 30 year old in the AFL system for 11 years, you'd probably hope that'd be the case.
Youse know that 58 year old Kenny Hinkley has been in the V/AFL system "a long time" and can still barely speak English?

He said Richmond had more unity and professionalism as a playing group than port..it eventually proved to be correct.

After he left them.

Richmond were a clown car while he strutted about Punt Rd referring to himself as “Xavier the Saviour”.

I'll preface this by saying I haven't read all the posts in this thread nor listened to his press conferences but why is he being shoved down our throats? I will never accept him.
I don't think he is tbh it's just his turn with the media you'll hear bugger all from him until next season now.

It’s a novelty thing, ex crows player now on Port’s list.
Caters for the small town mentality, will blow over once the season gets rolling.
