Even I don't have a long way to be like Jed.Just watched a highlights, and not much defensive work. Got a long way to go to be like Jed
Sanfl PhillipsI hate saying this but he makes me think of a Simon Phillips who one grabs the ball. But that would be a good player.
Good.Got a long way to go to be like Jed
Yeah, I know but it is true. That is almost like buying a Ford Fairlane in the hope it will turn into a Monaro.
Yeah, I know but it is true.
Jack Lukosius could become a great tall forward for us and bag 50 goals.
Joe Richards might be a great surprise packet and lock in that small forward position and make McEntee, Fevans and Narkle redundant.
Pick 13 is right in the mix of young players with plenty of potential.
Pick 29 could still be a very good player.
Pick 36 also has a chance of being a good player.
Pick 50 and it is starting to get out there.
Rory Atkins.
Now do this for the clubs who have better finals records than us and still have better picks.Yeah, I know but it is true.

We're just going to have to nail those picks. Now do this for the clubs who have better finals records than us and still have better picks.
I appreciate Port fans are hurting and the trade wasn't what you would have hoped.
I honestly reckon you guys have grabbed a potenitally great player in Joe Richards. At times this year due to injury, we had to play a variety of players with little to no experience. Lachie Sullivan, Ed Allan, Harvey Harrison, Reef McInnes etc..
Of that crop, Joe Richards was a massive standout. His composure when he had the ball and ability to read the play, for a bloke who had no senior footy experience really stood out. Of the players with limited experience on our list, he was the one I personally didn't want to let go.
Clearly Port saw something in him when they offered him a 3 year deal months back, and the Pies did too as we matched the deal but he still nominated Port. He won best young player at the Pies BnF this year.
A snapshot of his first game here, I recommend watching it if you get time. Everytime he touched the ball was class:
It's just a snapshot but he doesn't look like a spud. He has skills. He is a ****ing spud, to add to our list of small forward spuds.
I'm concerned about Mead. Just think his ceiling isn't good enough. We really needed him to command a midfield spot this year & imo he didn't.I’ve got a bit of hope with Joe , he could feed off Ratogalea by playing in front of him and getting little knock ons and handballs , he looks arable of being a part of scoring chains , not sure of his marking capability I think he’s more of a small running player , he’s a bit of a lightweight which might have held him back until now , I’d like to think he could replace either Narkle, Frank the tank , Jed and possibly even Mead if he doesn’t take that step up that he needs
Yeah you are correct, mead did not have a career best season,I'm concerned about Mead. Just think his ceiling isn't good enough. We really needed him to command a midfield spot this year & imo he didn't.
Everytime a player compliments Ken Hinkley and say they want to play for him has strong thanking Harvey Weinstein or Beyonce vibes
Massive callGood to see Richards putting in the hard yards in his own time in the off-season.
I dub thee Vivvy.
