Spot on, he's one of those players that knows how to put his body at angles that won't impact him severely and allow him to still get the pill or affect the play..The thing that's really struck me with Brucey since he's joined us is how 'tough' he is.
Although his draft highlights showed that he had sublime skills and creativity, I was a bit worried that he'd be more of an 'outside' player and would be one to prefer to avoid the contest where possible. Seeing him fight and scrap for the ball today put as much of a smile on my face as watching him continually fire out pinpoint handballs and kicks over the past few weeks.
He has the right attitude about playing the game and I have no doubt that he's destined to be an elite player. Hopefully we can keep him in the purple for the next 15 or so years, we're really lucky to have him.
I swear to god if he doesn't get the Rising Star Nom this week, I'll march on AFL house...
His surnames Ashcroft so you can guarantee it.He won’t, Aschcroft had 22 and a goal (much less impact on the result). Bookmark it.

One thing thats surprised me the most is actually his aerial ability and overall athleticism. He certainly has the capacity to fly for marks in pack situations which was not in any of the draft write ups.The thing that's really struck me with Brucey since he's joined us is how 'tough' he is.

I can only answer 1. Bruce Reid the cricketer. I think Brayshaw started it and it stuck.Ok, I need to clear two things up here
1. Why is Reid's nickname Bruce? Quazar2 referred to him as Wayne, so presumably its a Superman thing. How did this come about?
2. Who is 'Turtle' and why?
According to Ladbrokes, he's now equal second to win Rising Star.
Can't remember seeing such finesse/class, maturity and footy IQ from a first year as with him.
It's a jungle out there brothers, and sisters!!Ok, I need to clear two things up here

What does Superman have to do with Bruce or Wayne? It's Batman your after.Ok, I need to clear two things up here

Haha, that was honestly hilarious! We were sitting on the opposite end of the ground, and it took me a full 30 seconds to realise that the guy sprinting off like a lunatic to celebrate was Voss, not Bruce..Voss sprinted off like he kicked the winning goal himself to about the 50 metre arc.
It was great
He’d be winning the voting atm. Has performed every game unlike all of the others.I think we should expect Lalor to get the rising star but Murphy should be second
I'd be perfectly happy if the local media stay the f*** away from our Reid. Let him focus on his footy.it shows how ****ed the local media is over here. If Hardly Reid did this it would be all over the place
I agree, its just the hypocrisyI'd be perfectly happy if the local media stay the f*** away from our Reid. Let him focus on his footy.
I agree, the speed and savy of Bolton and the poise of Bruce adds so muchTwo elite handpasses from congestion inside a minute late in the second quarter should have been two goals if it wasn't for Voss missing a soda. If anything the quality of his game is being underrated.
He and Bolton are exactly what our forward line line has been missing the past couple of years.
Please tell us you aren't really mourning this morning?Just a touch of self-indulgent 'humour' for a Monday (post-footy) mourning
