They're recruiting a defender who had the most goals kicked on him in the league lol.Lol at Port fans on their board asking “who?” While fapping over bulldogs second ruck, a Geelong back up and a defender whose had bags kicked on him all year
Boak was on the way out until Koch intervened and demanded he be resigned to have a good news story to stop the negativity since their loss to GWS. FACT.Nice to hear that they are over the end of season blues and are excited about the new batch of missing pieces to be managed by our Ken. Bless. And Boak re-signing also. He and cooked Charlie will make quite the pair next year
Not sure why we are spruiking his forward performances when we need him back.Kicked A lot of goals past two years in vfl
124 goals over two years. Only had one match kicking 0

That seriously does not surprise me. I take it Koch is more “hands on” since his retirement from Sunrise. Well done Kochie, keep up the amazing work
Watching the VFL Highlights it looks like he and Chol were the main two forwards in the final. Maybe we steal both Gold Coasts back ups. Himmelberg gone and maybe Borlase and Murray out for 12 months Doedee as well. Need KP depth both endsNot sure why we are spruiking his forward performances when we need him back.
Technically speaking, they’ve always done okay trading in. Even in their premiership year they had Montgomery, Schofield, Pickett, Hardwick, Mahoney, and of course Wanganeen who I believe were all traded in.They are the destination club afterall.
Needs a few more Sack Hinkleys.Port River Express Way needs better signage
We'll probably pass on whatever we get for Himmelberg to GC in exchange for Burgess. Unless we're planning to bundle it up as part of a bigger trade to try and get GC's pick 4, but I suspect there are other teams that would outbid us for that. Neither is best 22 at their current club and won't be at their new club, either, both still contracted for another year. Both played similar number of games over the past 4 years (32 v 36) in teams that have not been setting the world on fire in that time. Depth pieces being shuffled around, nothing to get particularly excited about nor upset about.Haven't been on the suns board but let me guess they want a 2nd rounder for him. Not happening lol. Couldn't even make their 22.
Exactly summed up how I feel about Burgess.Depth pieces being shuffled around, nothing to get particularly excited about nor upset about.

Scott HodgesLeading goalkickers in SANFL recruited by Adelaide:
James Rowe (Kicked 27 goals in 36 games over 2 seasons)
Adam Richardson (4x Ken Farmer medals. Kicked 1 goal in his 2 match AFL career)
Leading VFL goalkickers recruited by Adelaide:
James Podsiadly (recruited after 4 seasons at Geelong. Played 21 games in 2014 for 26 goals.)
Chris Burgess (2x Jim 'Frosty' Miller medals. ???)
Ah yes, I saw the name there but forgot he also played for us!Scott Hodges

(I think the dislike of him regularly destroying Westies and the strong Pear association clouded my memory there...)
To be fair comparing Scott Hodges as a leading goalkicker in pre-1991 SANFL is miles apart from Adam Richardson or Jimmy Rowe in post-1997 SANFL.Scott Hodges
38 Games - 100 Goals AFL
183 Games - 684 Goals SANFL
Injury got him at the wrong time in 1991-93. And Mods took over in 93. He then goes on to kick 114 in 1994 and 102 in 1996 We re-recruited him in 1996 for one year but only played two games for 6 goals that year

Scott Hodges has the right to be discussed alongside some of the great full-forwards in history.

No, that's why I'm thinking the Himmelberg pick. They're both depth players, similar profile, contract status, etc. Himmelberg a year or two younger but not much of a difference. I reckon they'd both have fairly similar value so, unless either or both are getting tangled up in other trades, I'd expect it to be fairly straightforward. We better not trade what we get for Doedee or McAdam for this SANFL depth player.
Assuming he's best mates with Chol.
