Mason clearly has a set shot issue he needs to work out, and its almost definitely mental. While I'd like to put the boots into him for it I can't really. Pulled out several amazing goals and got the opportunity for several more. Overall he had a good statline with the exception of that one column.

You know what though, let’s see if he’s actually done a hammy, or whether he’s living up to his mentally soft persona.

Pretty easy to come off when you’ve missed a clutch goal, rather than making up for it

Our bottom 6 shown up, our leaders bar Cunnington shithouse. They had everything go right, but we also had plenty of chances. Their spread was insane at times and we couldn't cover it. Jacobs instead of Clarke would have been nice. Wood is not fit to carry Waite's bags into the ground.

Also good to see we replaced Drew Petrie with Mason Wood, the complete opposite of clutch just like big Drew.
Essendon played better, ran harder, used the ball better, this deserved the win.

Poor gutless game

It was nice of Stringer to spend 5 mins with his kids for the 2nd time this year. Fat, lazy dead beat dad. Walked out on his family to chase school girls. Some people shouldn't be allowed to breed - at least his kids will have access to the articles about what he did when they were young.

Leg speed was the difference, and that's not something you can easily fix except through continued drafting/trading of that type. Was a ripping game and we tried our guts out but they just outplayed us. It's no ones 'fault', Bombers are just a (marginally) better team at this point of the season.

William's has been shaky for a few weeks now and today he was awful. Turner with no offensive presence again and he wasn't much chop defensively considering their half backs killed us. Rat too, not up to this level.

Wood's set shots are abysmal but he kicked 3 and presented. Frustrating player.

Clarke was just poor apart from a 5 minute patch in the 3rd. Back to VFL.

We blew a massive chance this week.

I'd like to have a dig at you for even considering that Wood might have done that, but I was wondering the exact same thing. When you're mentally shot you can do some really irrational things.

I thought this would of been a game we'd have a real crack at...put our bodies in and bash them around. But that only really happened when were flying the flag.

Essendon pulled the game out of their ass but we should of went with our 2nd half plan from the very start against this quick side. I think it was a big blunder but at least it was corrected when the mistake was made. The easy set shots missed cost us the game basically and lack of pressure in the 2nd....

Now we're 10th and it can definitely go down from here. TBH our draw isn't that easy. Just lucky that some teams lost. Hawks have the easiest run home.

2 of those were absolute sodas. If this crap cant be addressed at training half the coaching staff needs sacking.
