He has been getting involved a lot more. But I’ll pay attention on Friday

Agree with you around him actually being a more complete footballer now than in previous year/s when he got exposed to senior footy.Crucial 12 weeks coming up for coming out of contract Trent
He’s playing good football in the VFL.

Watching him in the VFL I think he is more of a complete footballer nowadays than in previous years
… but I think his chances of playing senior football from here are limited.
Fly seems to prefer players with more speed… something Trent isn’t blessed with

It’s not the be all, and end all though.Speed is the modern drug -- football wise. Reckon Bianco could play a role but I don't think he's likely to be given a chance on our list.
Pendlebury and Greg Williams also not overly quick, but not many of them running around. It’s not the be all, and end all though.
Sidebottom is a wingman who isn’t gifted with speed yet plays that rule tremendously well.
I'm probably way off but Bianco has inside mid written all over him. He looks strong in the core and has a big ass, which can be quite an advantage for an inside mid. I see him as an Adam's replacement. I can't see him being delisted. I don't think he's too slow either, actually, he's quite quick over the first 10 metres. He will probably get delisted or traded but I would keep him
It might be his saving grace, i don't think he lacks courageDisagree. Seems to prefer a more bruise free type of footy IMHO.
He's at least as tough as Nick is.It might be his saving grace, i don't think he lacks courage

I trust your analysis because I know you watch him live. do you think he's worth keeping?Agree, he doesn't, just hangs wider than you'd expect a potential inside mid. Can certainly get down and dirty, just not his natural 1 wood.
He does look noticeably bigger this year when I watch our VFL side on FTA, but my reoccurring flashback is always him failing to make a tackle stick which is a huge part of playing an inside mid role. Has he improved this part of his game enough?Agree, he doesn't, just hangs wider than you'd expect a potential inside mid. Can certainly get down and dirty, just not his natural 1 wood.

He’s not the only one at the club who struggles with this - it’s a massive nuisance to watch as a fan.I don't think so.
His manager should be encouraging him to look elsewhere.I think so. Even if it's just a +1. I think he's the sort of player that'll take a little longer to start to realise his potential. Really good user of the footy and despite what many say, I'd say middling pace. I think he's best suited to the wing at senior level. His issue will be usurping Sidey, and then beating players like Allan and/or Draper to it longer term.
A lot of it's strength. Those two are strong enough to hold on even if they've been baulked and it's just an arm tackle with no body behind it. Most aren't strong enough - as Yeo showed breaking a fair few this weekend. He’s not the only one at the club who struggles with this - it’s a massive nuisance to watch as a fan.
Then you’ve got the likes of Maynard and even McCreery that absolutely nail the art.
