And I hear you guys want to pay a fee to send him back, no thanks, he’s all yours Chelsea.

Haha, cmon man. The deals done.

I'm not thrilled with him, but he'll either be a decent squad player or we'll flip him for profit.

I don't find that funny.
Just glad he's getting his life back together and is playing again.

It’s great that he’s got his life together.

It’s chuckle-worthy that someone hasn’t played in 2 years and gets sent off 10 minutes later. A standup comedians wet dream scenario.

Are Liverpool fans disappointed with how their season has panned out?

Sure, more than likely league champions, but for a bulk of the season, the side looked incredible.

I think about a month ago they were pegged as favourites for CL and both cups too.
I think there's some level of disappointment as we were performing so well finishing top in the 1st champions league stage and making it to the final yesterday, but I think if you were to offer anyone at the start of the season if we were to 'only' win the league, most people would bite your hand off and take it. It's still a huge achievement.

The only thing is they haven't secured it yet and theres still time to slip up if we keep playing like we have been lately.

No. We have a new manager, had multiple signings and zero money spent. Already exceeded expectations by miles with a smallish squad.

The expectation was challenging for 4th place and challenging for a cup trophy.

If Slot pulls off a title in his first season with virtually no money spent that's unprecedented.

Definitely not. This season has far exceeded our expectations and if we go on to win the league it’ll be one of the best and most enjoyable seasons ever.

Given the state the club is in, that would be a remarkable achievement.

If we do win the EL and qualify for next seasons CL, I hope we finish as low as possible in the league for added shits and giggles. :p

You've all raised valid points. But I guess looking like it was likely (however difficult it may be as an aside), you could in fact do the treble. In the space of less than a week, you've been bundled out the CL and lost a Cup final, I guess that's where I am coming from.

It never was likely. Certainly not with our current squad.

Another 3-4 new signings that hit the ground running and it may well be.

Big ask to win the treble, it’s only ever been done twice by an English club. I honestly haven’t thought about it once.

It’s been a shit week but winning the league will be amazing if we can get it done.

Expecting to win any cup competition is a fools game, particularly if that expectation is part of a double, treble or quadruple.

Liverpool can have a legitimate expectation to win the league, but anything beyond that should have been an added bonus more than an expectation.
