So we had the Tippet sanctions which cost us 2 first rounders, but really does it matter? Hamish would have ****ed them up.

The four biggest failures are our Fab Four who have set back our club a s**t load, but they aren’t at fault, they didn’t pick themselves, one man did, Hamish.

Gallucci, just consider who we overlooked, Marshall, Hayward, SPP, Berry
Jones - Butters, I feel sick.
McHenry- ok you don’t get them alright, but don’t make him a ducking lock when he’s s**t.
McAsey, to copy from BT, oh boy, wowee. Young……..Serong, ouch.

Now these guys have one thing in common and it ain’t that they are men, it’s Hamish.

Four absolute wasted first rounders. 4, not 1, not 2 but FOUR.

No one should keep their job based on that.

For those that love Hamish and can’t bring themselves to criticise him, who do you follow, the Crows or Hamish?

Showed beforehand? Rarely showed what talents he has, assumes he has them. He is a lazy player with absolutely no physical presence.

When do we start delisting players? After Mad Monday?

It's been said here before but if they aren't going to sack Hamish then they just need to ban him from the first round. Just play it safe with the next best consenus pick and let him play gold panner in the later rounds.

He was soft prior to his injuries and very rarely used the elite kick and pace that he supposedly has, he always preferred to take an easy first give option rather than being an attacking weapon

Pedlar needs to do some fast peddling as well this pre season or he may be another Gold Medal for Hamish

Hamish and his wastage of first round picks has done more damage long term to our club than the Camp.



Hamish defenders keep saying that all those guys he picked were projected to go first round by phantom drafters. Is it Chicken and Egg though?


The drafting process is quite homogeneous for the first few rounds. Each of those kids is a known quantity and the pool is really quite small.

So when the guys doing the draft bio write ups get wind Hamish has put more time into Chayce Jones

Same with McAsey. We rated him highly. Other clubs may not have. But because we rated him highly (and he was the best KPP in a draft light on KPPs) the draft bio writers include him as a top ten prospect.


I am not saying the draft is rigged. But the phantom drafters generally get the first 20 picks right. This is because they do the research and talk to the kids families, schools, local clubs and even talent scouts to work out which club really likes which kid.

So yeah Jones and McAsey were highly rated, but probably because those doing the ratings knew we would pick them inside the top 10. Mostly likely no other club rated them that highly.

It’s a pity Hey Shorty has closed his account, earlier in the year when I was bagging Jones he said the gap between him and Rozee wasn’t that big anymore.

Port have secured themselves 2 gun mids from that draft and we picked up 2 spuds.

If Sholl ain’t going there is no way Jones should be playing wing before him.

To be fair on Hamish, he had no intention of selecting Gallucci. Pyke is responsible for that one.

But ultimately thats a nasty few years of drafting. Its not entirely Hamish's fault. They pick the draft in consultation with the coaches and what they want and each one of those players were drafted where they were expected to go. Its still a bad list of players. Since he has been given free reign from Pyke, a side from McAsey he has selected really well under Nicks.

To be brutally honest, the average mock drafter on BF would have had a better strike rate than Hamish in the first round. At this point the club should just move on Hamish and follow Knightmares power rankings.....
