Congratulations to royboy2 who was our highest votescorer in the league's best & fairest award, earning 13 votes and equal 13th place in the count! Past winner fitzroybowiedog also, polled strongly in this count.
You can rest assured that at the end of the Broken Medal count tonight, I will furnish you with a final ALL votegetters table, and not just some discriminatory leaderboard. (Plus the people getting votes will be overall better people).

BEEZ AWARD​

The Beez award or medal or whatever its called hasn't actually been held yet, so I can't tell you how we all went. I'm sure it's very important.

SPAM FL (RESERVES LEAGUE)​

Administered by Wonders player AnUltimateRessie , the SPAM FL was up and about again this season gone, and with it, so were our magoos. The R.O.I. is our reserve team, and its proven a strong contingent, winning the 2nds premiership last season. Could we double up? Well, no.

After finishing strongly and powering into the finals, the R.O.I. crashed and went out in straight sets, first losing a QF to eventual winners the Prospects, and then losing a SF to eventual runners-up Alberton. Our finishing ladder position was probably ... I dunno. We were 2nd before the finals. I dunno how they work that stuff out. Maybe 5th?

In voting held by the league, each team was given awards, including a B&F for the R.O.I. won by Allikat , a runners-up award going to Reardo , and our highest goalkicker being Sterge with 22 goals. [Full SPAM FL Awards]

Dragons FFC 19.7 (121) def Roys FFC 10.5 (65)​

After a solid win over the Demons, the bye might have come at the wrong time for us. Not to mention the international travel to France for this weird fixture. Dragons were looking to consolidate their place in the eight after knocking over the Demons in an impressive win.

The game started pretty well. We went goal for goal with the Dragons and and went into quarter time a point behind. But then what happened next is …… well it is hard to describe. Somebody stuck a key in Bonz's back and wound him up tighter than a ’s **. He kicked four goals before the Roys had taken to the field and made it five before the quarter was out, on his way to kicking 9 for the day.

Despite the best efforts of SpecialBruce (24 touches, 7 marks, and a goal), DERRINALPHIL (7 hitouts, 18 disposals, 2 goals), and Ed_Gein (21 disposals, 8 marks), we couldn’t get near them. This was very much a day to forget. Turns out the bye really did kill our momentum*

*if you count a 1-game win streak as momentum anyhoo.
