Thought Gray looked his best when up forward with his explosive leads + marking the ball at its highest point.
Doesn't really have the height to do well in the ruck, but probably had to play a bit through there out of necessity.

blight, bauer and trezise walk straight into the seniors. we actually desperately need a quality crumbing forward now imo. we kick bugger all opportunistic goals.

The 2 msd recruits were excellent.
Gray is a very good athlete, good hands, needs work on his set shots but looks a really good pickup
Blight looks to be a super reliable defender, didn’t make a mistake all day.
Top games from Bauer and Tresize, hope both play soon.
Kosi was ok , but completely overshadowed by Blight down back
Great effort by our VFL boys. Brindley and Scott were excellent, and May is a much improved player, he’s really clunking them now, maybe we should have taken a 3rd pick in the msd

It's been way too long since we've had a small forward that actually crumbs packs (sans Bolton, I guess). All this bombing long in the seniors hoping to bring it to ground the one time we don't kick it to a defender, only for no one to follow up.
No they don't, good to see they played well now hopefully they can back it up with some good form and no injuries.
Great effort by the two new blokes in their first game, especially Blight coming from the WAFL.

Gray 13 disposals 7 marks 2 tackle 5 hitouts 2.2
Good debut for the club and worked into the game well. Flies for his marks with intent. Conversion could use some work though. Plenty to work with
Blight 20 disposals 9 marks 2 clearance 1 tackle
Strong debut game, good decision making when flying in the contest toneither mark or spoil. Shanked a couple of kicks but overall ball use was good.
Koschitzke 10 disposals 5 marks 1 tackle
Not the same impact as last week, played on Pike and Bradtke most of the game and had his hands full at times. Not as sound as Blight in the contest as he'd try ad mark instead of putting a fist through it.
Coulthard 7 disposals 1 mark 1 tackle
Struggled to have much of an impact. Not sure if he is still under the weather from being sick last week.
Trezise 18 disposals 5 marks 2 tackles
Really solid game down back, gets into position well to impact the ball coming in, and composed with ball in hand.
Banks 11 disposals 4 marks
Seems to be where Hugo was a couple of years back with regards his willingness to take contact. Even when on the outside he sometimes has issues with perceived pressure which makes him rush his disposals. Didn't play the last quarter
Bauer 11 disposals 6 marks 1 tackle 0.1
Did well down back in the first half and provided something up forward in the second half. Took a big hanger in the last quarter. Pleased that he shook off an early ankle knock to finish off the game.
Green 7 disposals 2 mark 2 tackles.
Like Coulthard he struggled to have an impact and was barely sighted at times. Copped a big hit in the last quarter when contesting a loose ball, but was able to finish off the game.

We need a legend like Roach back at the club to teach May, Gray and Bauer how kick set shots for goal. All three missed very gettable goals.

Good question. I think Gray could come in and as much as I like Ryan he's not offering enough. See how he goes tonight.
Blight could seamlessly fit into that backline but with Balta and Miller taking the main posts might have to bide his time.
