The club gets more than a mil for winning the men's premiership i hope

Ridiculous that such a big prize is linked to the women's comp
The AFL Premiership prize money a club wins, which is the same as the AFLW Premiers win, is different to the $1M a club gets from winning the McClelland Trophy

Well done Lions. Through to another finals series.

No point winning these premierships the easy way. On the road (probably), injury and suspension concerns, not in our best form but no way am I doubting this team after last season.

LET'S GO!!!!

What would the other clubs do without our ex-players boosting them? Crows might have one more flag but no other club has done as much as us to develop the league as a whole

2 of our best mids & an assistant coach who knows Starce's playbook are the only reason hawthorn are where they are now. Plus, having an easy draw.

We have become quite dependent on Dawes to ignite the team and take us forward with intent. When she surges, we look twice as dangerous. What she does breaks defensive lines and disorganises the defence, and she would be a surprising hard player to tag being so small and agile. And absolutely 100% at every contest.

Ellenger’s disposal sometimes undoes her excellent two way running.

Possibly Dunne’s most mature game. Mullins has well and truly found her role as a two way outlet. Hickie was solid today.

Saints are probably the equal of teams in the bottom half of the eight in terms of talent so we did what had to be done for the win. Lost the mil, and first week home final but that should really stir up the girls against Hawthorn.

Directed at the comp

Imagine a game where $1million is on the line being a goal apiece at half time
If that's your query, imagine $1m is on the line and the men's team collapsed twice in two games late in the season to lose it then.

Must’ve been a thrilling finish. Much better than watching a team 2 goals up in the last and ruling out the trailing side being able to double their total to hit the lead
