I don’t care where he goes, one of him or Tex needs to not play ahead of the ball. Personally I’d give him a crack on the wing in place of Sholl. But it’s doubtful we try that as our wings have a high requirement for running capacity. I don’t think we’d trust Curtin in that role yet.

Yep, I'd move Curtin into defence...in place of one of Keane or Worrell, both of whom have made some awful errors recently - at least until Muzz comes back. Hinge is a worry though - does some great stuff, then messes up horribly...reminds me of Noble, now at GC...excellent sometimes, but turns it over at crucial times too. Maybe Hinge to wing, Nank down back, and bring in Dowling and Bond for next match. Sid back to sub, keep Taylor in, Sholl omitted.

All the best coaches come from being an assistant. It’s when you think about it the only way you will get quality.

The other way is you have to try and pry out in their prime a gun coach and that rarely works. Or wait till they are passed their time ( aka blight pagan malthouse).

Of the newbies, I think Rahilly would be the one if he was interested. Scott specifically mentioned him in his pre game interview, he knows our system and he knows how to beat us. That's the kind of coach you want.

Nah in all honesty I think he will make a good senior coach. Reports are extremely positive about him since he has arrived. Would be gutted to lose him

Crouch wasn't fit, clearly shouldn't have played.

But with Rash out, and Rankine not 100%, why the hell didn't we park him in the forward line?

When Taylor came on felt like the time to move him into the middle with fresh legs and let Rankine go forward and work there.

But Nicks probably didn't think beyond "Rankine is elite, so he needs to lift us up and Taylor can't do that"

Not sure if or when Scott wants to leave.
He seems incredibly passionate about the club( literally sacrificed his entire paycheck in 2020 so others can have it) and a massive workaholic.

He will surely walk on his own accord, or might do a malthouse or sheedy and go another 10-15 years. Who knows

Refer Port Adelaide. When you have a squad good enough to make finals but a coaching group not good enough to take advantage of it, you can burn 10 years real quick.

I think the squad is just hitting its straps now to be fair.

When I say that I mean the following players entering their prime

Rankine- (superstar)
Thlthorpe- will be AA this year
Soligio- put him in my fantasy team now. Is a gun
Fogarty- elite mobile power forward. Scary what he did to us in a qtr. geelong apparently tried to pry him out a while back but he stayed.

Others who you could put in but I think those 4 at minimum have been a huge increment this season.
