Rioli is a w***er who is full of shit.

He’s raised it to defend and deflect away from his taunting. Then says “I hate the club, but not the players”.

You were taunting a player you ****head. Not administrators from years ago.

This is the guy who pulled the 'go to sleep' taunt in the Showdown after Rankine's knock out last year.

He didnt like Dunstall paying out his Dad who was the only one to lose to Chief in a time trial.

I mean I know his father has passed away sadly, but if thats a reason to be a knob on the field (again) then he's got some pretty thin skin.

That one hurt. Had him dead to rights but couldn't stick the tackle, 5 seconds later it's a goal.

Rewatched the game yesterday.

Soligo was absolutely putrid. With the reports he was throwing up during the game I wonder if we had a bit of gastro / illness go through the squad?

Good to see we have an extra 3 days rest compared to the Giants who are traveling back to back.

I reckon he was just physically exhausted, but he could well have been under the weather with a flu or something also.

I think we'll be better for a rest this weekend, whether it's good enough to beat the best side in it at the moment (IMO) who knows

We poorly managed our midfield group with heat & short space between games

I think the short break/hot conditions last week did for us last night. We looked flat from minute one. Our contest was awful from the start and we got away with it on the back of ball movement to build a lead. We lost the game in the last 5 minutes of the second quarter.

In the third quarter our spread (both ways) fell apart, but we held it together somewhat. In the last quarter, everything fell apart. We were running in treacle and just could not get numbers to a contest. Our decision making and skills were catastrophic. These are all symptoms of fatigue. I am fortified in that view by the fact that pretty much everyone was down on their best. They just looked physically shot out there.
It is just worth noting here that last night Brisbane played an opponent with whom they are pretty closely matched. Under normal circumstances, you would have Brisbane as luke warm favourites at home.

They played on a 30+ degree day five days earlier.

The game was pretty tight until half time - conversion the only real difference between the teams. And then the Lions stopped to a walk in the second half and Collingwood blitzed them.

We definitely were not perfect last week either on the field or in the coaches' box. But I think we win that game - maybe even comfortably - on a level playing field.

Potentially sure, but hopefully the coaches and the players don’t ignore the structural frailties that the last 2 games have exposed and just dismiss them due to the hot weather or short break between games.

So if we win this week we should get no credit, and if we get dog walked Nicks should be fired

A bit late to the party, but if you want to see an example of a poor midfield performance and terrible coaching, it's worth a watch

Goes to show after all this time, ROB's ruck craftwork is mystifying at times. It's almost like he ignores where our team mates are & just looking to win the taps to somewhere random.

Also clearly our midfielders need to fight harder for front position.
