Why doesn't the SANFL utilise these great new country venues REH? is it purely because they are locked to the suburban home ground fixtures? I'd fukcin' move a team to Mt. Barker myself it's a great oval.
Well there is only 2 and this one hasn't hosted an AFL game yet.

SANFL club's would have to give up home ground advantage and maybe lose $$$. The SANFL wont force games to be moved there.

Westies do it in Loxton with the Russell Ebert Cup game as its in their country zone and they must break even as a minimum to have kept it going for 3 years and I'm pretty sure they are playing there again this year.

Mt Barker is in Sturt's country zone so it would be up to them to use it.

Barossa Park is in Centrals' country so if that troglodyte Chris Grant has finally retired as CEO, a more modern thinking CEO might take up the option.

I know Port like to have a bye in the SANFL when the AFL team do, but in that AFL bye round, I reckon it would be great to have the Maggies play Centrals in some sort of cup game there.

Both teams have plenty of premiership players to invite up and make a weekend of it up there. There are actually a decent number of people in the wine industry who are Port supporters and they could have decent cross promotion. It would be a good day or weekend to get away and enjoy the Barossa mid season. Go visit a few wineries and check out their fortified and red wines in the middle of winter.

The rushed behind rule is madness if the attacking player lands in the middle of your back as you rush it through there has to be a level of “under pressure”. What a shit subjective rule.

And throw in "insufficient intent"

With all these small forwards running around, we might see the return of tough smaller half backs who can actually defend. That would warm the cockles of the heart of Tony Giles and Ivan Eckermann.

I’ve said it before but if I could recruit one opposition player it would be Will Day. Pound for pound will be the best midfielder in the comp. Complete footballer.

Straight swap for Butters.

Only real difference in this game between the two sides is the extra game the Hawks have played.

Round 0 One of the stupidest ideas the AFL has had in the last 3 years, and there's been more than a few.

Will this year's grand finalists be from the 4 teams that got the extra advantage last year of the earlier official game as opposed to their competition.
