having to play the opposition's song before the game and, especially after the game if they win, has always annoyed me
Before the game, it should be all about the home team. After the game not playing it would be shit sportsmanship (like Adelaide not playing ours after the first Showdown, that got fixed by the second, as we weren't dicks like them).

Like Hinkley it was good for a couple seasons, tolerable for the next couple, but completely stale and annoying ever since.
It's stale and boring, but the issue is it's flat out the opposite of what the club does on and off-field. Oh, you won't give us 2 firsts? How about we just accept it! Ha! Shitty draw - yeah, let's not call out the clear Vic bias. Give up on field 'The year was a success'. The club won't drop it of course, because then people would start commenting on the fact it's because Port does give in. It's the defining trait of Port the last decade, when it really matters.

maybe - playing the opposition's song never used to be a thing pre AFL days. When you share a ground I get it, but it's just one of those irrational things that mildly irritates me. I like your home to be your fortress

I see Freemantle's new draftee, Josh Carr's nephew Jaren, has just won the Freemantle time trial. He could be a good pickup. Hired a personal trainer to work on his deficiencies, and was picked up as a mature ager. Well done to him!

Was a bit curious about the writing on the wristband.....

How ridiculous is the AFL honestly just put some strong rules around rookie listing players ffs.

For it to be used as a coin and contract management tool for older players is absurd.

I never understood why they got rid of the veteran list.
