Watch Geelong pick up Tarym Thomas next year as a DFA.
Whoa. Your link has the vision of the assault. That's truly messed up. Balta is a thug and should not be playing before sentencing. What. A. Joke. The AFL have cleared Noah Balta to play in Round 5 against us and Round 6 against GCS prior to his sentencing for the assault he has pleaded guilty for.
Just when you think they couldn't sink any lower they prove you wrong!

Choosing Hawthorn's first rounders over Carlton's is laughably bad, who actually signed that decision off? Hawks only looked like getting better, adding Barrass and Battle, whilst the Blues looked cooked at the end of last season and have started in a similar vein - it may genuinely be 10 picks or more difference when you start factoring in academies and F/S's. They've totally screwed the pooch. The Eagles have turned into the gift that keeps on giving.
We must never forget that they had the choice of Carlton or Hawthorn's first and second rounders and chose Hawthorn's. Now they'll probably lose their skipper to get their hands on Carlton's, which are projecting to be far more valuable. Wtf is Don Pyke doing over there?
Hawthorn have made West Coast their bitch.
Nobody will touch Thomas. The backlash from supporters and (I would assume) sponsors will be too great for any club to take the risk. There is a reason why even state league clubs won't give him a go.
The Meek one still hurts me, we could've traded Darcy for a Kings ransom and kept Meek, and now had the best one two ruck punch in the league.![]()

Only gave up 1 first round pick to get all these players. Worth a listen, Hawks have done a great job of rebuilding.

Not gonna lie, I've never cared about losing Meek and to this day, it still doesn't bother me one bitThe Meek one still hurts me, we could've traded Darcy for a Kings ransom and kept Meek, and now had the best one two ruck punch in the league.
Impey, Frost and Scrimshaw were all traded in in or before 2019. That's minimum 6 years ago. Seems a bit of stretch to include them on a list patting them on the back for great rebuilding.![]()

Frankly this Hawthorn team seems to me to have a lot of B graders in it. I'll be saving my anguish for when they actually achieve something.
My first thought was exactly that. They have a few A graders but a lot of B grade and C grade role players.Impey, Frost and Scrimshaw were all traded in in or before 2019. That's minimum 6 years ago. Seems a bit of stretch to include them on a list patting them on the back for great rebuilding.

I feel like we should have them covered with talent. Just need to get the game plan right.
Didn't say they weren't talented..Just don't think their top shelf A grade yet.Think that's selling their list short IMO, loads of talent in every line.
yep, and their short kicking is elite and they move fast.Think that's selling their list short IMO, loads of talent in every line.
If he plays a really good year in a 2nd tier comp and stays clean, someone will sign him.
