Nobody will touch Thomas. The backlash from supporters and (I would assume) sponsors will be too great for any club to take the risk. There is a reason why even state league clubs won't give him a go.

Choosing Hawthorn's first rounders over Carlton's is laughably bad, who actually signed that decision off? Hawks only looked like getting better, adding Barrass and Battle, whilst the Blues looked cooked at the end of last season and have started in a similar vein - it may genuinely be 10 picks or more difference when you start factoring in academies and F/S's. They've totally screwed the pooch.
If he plays a really good year in a 2nd tier comp and stays clean, someone will sign him.

Darcy when fit is a better ruck than Meek.
The advantage of having Meek is he is cheaper salary cap wise, more durable, and we could have got some picks from trading out Darcy.
This is the problem with Rucks, you really only need 1.

Frankly this Hawthorn team seems to me to have a lot of B graders in it. I'll be saving my anguish for when they actually achieve something.
**** I hope you are right.
I don't think I could tolerate another Hawks Dynasty. They are my most hated club.

My first thought was exactly that. They have a few A graders but a lot of B grade and C grade role players.
I feel like we should have them covered with talent. Just need to get the game plan right.
Think that's selling their list short IMO, loads of talent in every line.

Better game plan that caters for their talent. I feel like we're not playing to our strengths.

yep, and their short kicking is elite and they move fast.
they will slice us up if we don't improve/stop taking 20 minutes after the whistle to decide whether or not to go corridor or kick to an outnumber
they just play fast and it's working for them. i wish we did this a bit more.
Only one VFL team was interested and there was such backlash they had to abandon the idea.
Swan Districts then considered it, and decided to not go ahead.
The VFL, WAFL, SANFL, AFL clubs will not go anywhere near him.
If they can cover things up and limit public knowledge then they don't care, but that is not possible with Thomas and he has zero chance of ever playing AFL again.

TT needs to get some tips from Ben Cousins on how to update his dating profile.
That's not really how it works these days, even state league teams have a corporate structure and are very aware of public image and branding. He'll only get a spot in a regional league, likely in Vic
